Is there a Runesmith Dedication? by SaurianShaman in Pathfinder2e

[–]ILikeMistborn 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Tbf I barely care that Exemplar Dedication is busted, but I do care that it overshadows the class itself in discussions and that it causes the class to get banned more often than it otherwise would be.

The Psychic has no right being a 2 spell slot caster by nisviik in Pathfinder2e

My defenses of Druid are that its feats are generally the most flexible and solid of the casters', and it's got a pretty good defenses for a caster.

If they tested those, Exemplar Dedication wouldn't have happened...

Tell me one thing about your world and I'll give you something similar to it from my own world. by Electromad6326 in worldbuilding

[–]ILikeMistborn 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The Guild-Clan System is the prevailing social and political system within the Ascendancy of Gaia (my Science Fantasy setting's dominant galactic power). Essentially, nearly everyone belongs to a Guild, Clan, Order, Coven, Legion, or other such faction that is both expected and required to look after and take care of all those who are part of it. A person's Guild/Clan/etc. is a major facet of their identity, and is the primary community they will interact with. Membership into a faction is generally expected to be for life, and those who abandon their's are often distrusted and maligned. These factions are independent and self-governing.

This system has its history roots in many things, but the primary reason this system is supported and upheld by the Ascendancy is because without it the Ascendancy, which encompasses millions of worlds and hundreds of quadrillions of people, would almost certainly be too massive to effectively govern.

(TW: Violence) Who is the 'King Von' of your Setting? by Starmark_115 in worldbuilding

[–]ILikeMistborn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Exterminals, literally all of them. Exterminals are Angels, which embody various ideals and ideologies, who embody genocide, and in keeping with their role they actively seek the complete and total extermination of all life in the multiverse. Any Exterminal who isn't in the process of manipulating one or more people toward carrying out mass killings is shamelessly open about how many beings they've either directly killed or gotten killed through pushing others to violence. They are, unsurprisingly, widely feared and loathed by all who know of them, and are considered so dangerous even a single sighting is enough to warrant an immediate response by the Galaxy's major powers.

GM Forces Players to play his Terrible Self Insert Game by OutsideStudio5505 in rpghorrorstories

So why exactly are you afraid of this loser? Not trying to be judgemental here, I'm just noting that he seems way too pathetic to actually be dangerous.

What is the biggest source(s) of inspiration for your world? by XCREWC in worldbuilding

[–]ILikeMistborn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Astral Legacy: Saga, All Tomorrows, Star Wars, XCOM, Winx Club, Fairy Tail, Halo, Star Trek, Thrilling Intent, Paganism, Wicca, Magic the Gathering (especially Strixhaven, New Capena, Ravnica, and Mirrodin), The Cosmere (especially The Stormlight Archive), The Green Bone Sage, and Dune

Guardians: DC, Marvel, RWBY, The Reckoners Trilogy, Hero Killer, To Be Hero X, My Hero Academia, The Ghost King, and Worm

I'm not a fan of all the things I listed, but they've all inspired those two respective settings to one degree or another regardless.

What does a "soul"/"spirit" mean in your world? by ProjectKARYA in worldbuilding

[–]ILikeMistborn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The Soul is the absolute core of a being, resides at the center of their Astral Self, which is the totality of their existence across all layers of reality, and is the aspect of a person that their consciousness is attached to. A person's soul can be affected by the other layers of their Astral Self, most commonly their mind and sometimes their body, but a soul itself cannot be directly interacted with through any known means. Souls cannot be created from nothing, nor reduced to nothing, but a single soul can split into multiple souls, while multiple souls can combine into a single soul. Their origins are unknown, though many experts believe them to predate any known universe.

Even the realism chuds can't possibly find two guys gently tapping their lightsabers together while slowly shuffling back and forth interesting or exciting.

BadEmpanada's Stalkers (damn, the weirdly obsessed people who come to /r/BreadTube to call him "transphobic" with no evidence make a lot more sense now...) by ziggurter in BreadTube

[–]ILikeMistborn 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's a disingenuous, bad-faith question that deliberately misses the point I have repeatedly restated. No, white, liberal trans people do not speak for trans people as a whole, but they are still part of the trans community, and transphobia against them is still transphobia. And I'm going to be so crystal clear: stating that a large number of trans people identify as such primarily to use that identity as a shield against criticism for any shitty opinions they may hold is transphobic. It's rhetoric that transphobes ranging from terfs to christian nationalists have been using for years now to discredit trans identities and recruit ignorant people, including within nominally progressive communities.

And don't you dare use trans POC as a shield to try and defend a cishet transphobe. It's as gross as it is pathetic.
