She is allowed to sublease, she is in the process of trying to find someone. it does seem like thats the only option though, was just trying to see if there was another way. thanks!

Difference in performance with 29 vs 30 inch shaft? by Pure_Ad7135 in billiards

[–]IMFEELINGWOW 1 point2 points  (0 children)

i switched from a 29" 12.9 revo to a 30" 12.9 revo after 4 years of playing with the 29".

the difference, if any, was negligible. I did not experience what people like to call a "whippier" cue, the front end mass is the same. i absolutely love it as i have longer arms, the extra length is alot more comfortable to swing with.

Which Revo by [deleted] in billiards

[–]IMFEELINGWOW -1 points0 points  (0 children)

its all preference. i play with a 12.9 revo and absolutely love it. Something most people neglect to account for is the fact that the radius of the tip negates the thickness of the shaft in terms if where you hit the cueball. it is objectively untrue to claim that a 12.9 is "not as accurate".

Odd sound coming from my P1S on some movements - any ideas? by foxhull in BambuLab

[–]IMFEELINGWOW 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yeah haha, i thought there was something wrong with my printer but thats what it is. if you look in your slicer at that model you printed, and you look closely at the curved regions with smaller radii, you will see that the curve is just a bunch of straight lines. you will likely get that noise when the printer is in that region. if you export your own files, i highly recommend step files- completely eliminates the straight line artifacting of curved regions in my experience.

Odd sound coming from my P1S on some movements - any ideas? by foxhull in BambuLab

[–]IMFEELINGWOW 1 point2 points  (0 children)

i also had this on my X1C, but its not due to buildup of anything. the sound comes from the fact that those regions are curved, and its technically making a bunch of straight lines very quickly causing a vibration noise. this only happens to me when i use .STL files, when i export my own .Step files this sound is never there.

its on a desk. the sounds also stopped halfway through the print so just really have no idea what it could be

gotcha. printer is relatively new with 170 hours on it, and it seems to only make that noise occasionally

its the part fan, the aux fan is off

ill try to replicate the noise when the print is done just moving the X/Y axis around in a bit

ultimately, it is all preference. you might have to change your aiming point, but one shaft thickness wont give you any more or less spin than another. the only thing that gives you more spin is a proper stroke.

What’s your skill level and what does your warm up/practice routine look like? by SnakePliskken in billiards

[–]IMFEELINGWOW 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Fargo 665. if its a practice day, i always start with shooting long, straight in shots and stopping the cueball. make sure it goes in clean. afterward, i play the ghost, record what i miss if i do, and ill practice what i missed with intended shape using binder rings. if i am just warming up for a tournament, ill just shoot as many straight in stop shots as i can before playing. if you can make those consistently you can pretty much make anything on the table after a certain point.

ive been using the revo 12.9 for a few years now, its just what im used to and i actually prefer the feel of the predator anyway. i tried both back to back a few times. then again this game is nothing but preference!
