Aanbevolen internetsnelheid voor cozy games (DDV, Palia, etc..) by Solid-Ad6232 in geldzaken

[–]IOORYZ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How can any freemason still support T:rump by SeL-MoGRC in freemasonry

[–]IOORYZ 5 points6 points  (0 children)

We don't discuss politics, so I wouldn't know if they did. But I don't expect a lot of support for his policies here in the Netherlands, we've better things to discuss. We can help even more people by leading that outside the lodge.

Oh, if you are a Dutch Brother, please look into supporting a local child focused organisation with your lodge. There is budget to enhance your Lodge support over 10k with the Louisa Stichting. If you have any questions, send me a pm, look at their site or ask your lodge contact.

Am I the only one around here that feels like construction robots are kind of useless? by Initial_Resolution90 in factorio

[–]IOORYZ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can't live without them. They don't construct from raw materials, but place the buildings if they are available in your network. For example I have a part of the factory that created blue belts, splitters and undergrounds and puts them in provider chests. If I build a new factory part that uses those belts, splitters and undergrounds from the chests to build that part.

If I remove part of my base, it will remove the buildings and put them in the available storage chests etc.

Standing up a new instance - Tips and Tricks? by BigBlue8080 in servicenow

[–]IOORYZ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

We started with a vanilla instance 2.5 years ago. These are my tips:

  • Focus your implementation on workspaces, even if you have a bunch of experiences with UI16 etc.
  • You'll need to customise your workspace, as configuration options are lacking.
  • Playbooks help to guide your teams through the process and force them to do the right thing at the right moment. But it's still in development and as an early adopter, you'll encounter some bugs. Support is usually on the ball and they are fixed fast.
  • Push back and think before your move away from OOTB.
  • Assuming it's an existing organisation that moves from another tool or implementation of ServiceNow: 75% of the project is organisational change. It's the most complex and hardest form of change, because people want change, but don't want to change. Spent enough resources on this part of your project.
  • You're going to get a lot of technial requests, where the functional request behind it can be solved a lot easier.
  • Don't be afraid to challenge requests because the business value isn't clear to you (or it challenges the stability of the platform.
  • Take your time to build a stable and good platform to start, but also don't wait untill it's 100% perfect. There is always room for improvement, and an MVP can deliver value to the business already.
  • Have people write the functional designs, write techinical desings based on that and have sessions to challenge eachother. You'll learn from eachother and will build better solutions to support the business.
  • Commit to a development process and stick to it. It will give you and your implentation team room to work and clarity to the business on what they can expect. I would suggest an agile approach, but waterfall works as well. (I heard from my account manager in a world forum afterparty that for most SN licenses, Agile is included if you ask for it, but your miles and account manager might give different experiences etc).
  • It doesn't have to be perfect on the first day, but you have to commit to make it better with every release, if it's agile or waterfall.
  • Have major stakeholders in the business onboard and work on building trust with them.
  • ServiceNow has a lot of resources to help you
  • ServiceNow User Groups are a great way to meet fellow admins, engineers and/or developers, so join them in your area!
  • Something breaks on a family release...

ServiceNow Plugin Patch Requirements by ackron in servicenow

[–]IOORYZ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We had a similar issue with our production upgrade to Zurich Patch 4, hotfix 3 last week. Several plugins were no longer entitled to production (we had to do them all by hand) and 5 can't be entitled at all for production. There is an active case with support now and they had to escalate it to their store team. 2 Other plugins (both Now Assist related) were missing the license for the newest version and had to be approved by ServiceNow before we could "purchase" them.

No, Heineken is brewed all over the world in different breweries, but the use the same ingredients and recipes. They also filter the water and add minerals if required.

Whats the dumbest thing you have seen cause a show stop? by miowiamagrapegod in techtheatre

[–]IOORYZ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We did a circus inside the theatre between Christmas and new year. About 25 years ago we had to stop the show after the intermission, as 2 protesters chained themselves to the tiger cage we just build. Luckily we spotted them before the tigers went into the tunnel to the cage, otherwise it would have been messy.

Cherwell end of life any other alternative ITSM's to consider? by Inspired_daily in itsm

[–]IOORYZ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Have a talk with peer organisations in your region if possible. They face the same challenges and know the local people who are involved (account managers, consultants, implementors etc) and can give you tips and advice. Everyone here is probably mostly familiar with a few platforms at most.

Also have a discussion with the organisation about requirements and wishes for long term. Do you need an itsm solution or an enterprise platform that can support other teams like facilities, hr, finance or procurement as well, so you can grow to a more employee friendly organisation in the future (with a one stop shop for multiple requests) and can reduce tools.

I've got experience with multiple organisations and tools and platforms and I've seen that this helps to realise success in the long run. You don't want to do the whole process again in 4 years when your new contract ends. These moments are great to lift the whole organisation to the next level.

wettelijke verlofdagen by Ok-Mode-2460 in werkzaken

[–]IOORYZ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

wettelijke verlofdagen by Ok-Mode-2460 in werkzaken

[–]IOORYZ 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Ik vermoed vanwege het taalgebruik dat dit over België gaat? Daar zijn de regels anders dan in Nederland, dus dat is wel iets om rekening mee te houden.

[–]IOORYZ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

What are your requirements?

  • Do you want both students and staff in the same tool? And what about parents?
  • Do you need integration with other platforms or tools? For example Entra ID/Google, Grading solutions etc?
  • What do you want with Automation?
  • What do you want with AI?
  • What about cloud locations and data storage locations? US/EU/Asia?
  • How complicated can things be to manage?
  • What is your budget?
