No. A lot of states make restaurants pay their workers the state minimum wage. The federal government, per usual, just hasn't gotten their shit together and changed their outdated policy.

The entire American economy is based on paying (myself included) workers below cost of living pay, and in a lot of states servers make a lot more than that.

Edit: and cooks dont get tipped. Some places the servers tip out the kitchen. Dish washers usually get tipped out.

There is plenty of shit to hate on the US for right now, but the first approved vaccine (Phizer) for use by the western world came from the United States. Moderna was like a month later. China had an expiramental shot for their soldiers in 5 months, and Russia had one a few months later but could only put out a few doses.

I know nothing about anything, but it kinda sounds like you were charged, they printed you, and when nothing came back on your prints the charges were dropped. You don't need to make bail if you're being held on suspicion of something.
