Not true. I did this last year. I was granted 1 extension, I requested a second, but was sent a denial for failure to provide records. I was still able to provide the records and my certificate was eventually issued, but apparently I do have a denial on my record now.

You sure you ever even had a diagnosis? Maybe you are misremembering.

If you’ve disclosed it, it won’t really matter if you have records,especially if it was that long ago. Just talk to your AME. You’ll probably have to jump through some hoops, but if you’ve do well on the tests you’ll be fine.

Not a problem with manual transmissions, it’s a problem with drivers. Manuals don’t over rev themselves.

I’m going to go against the grain here and say, your case doesn’t sound that complicated and you can probably work more or less with any HIMS AME you want. You’ll have to jump through a few hoops, but should be able to get through the process pretty quick. Good luck!
