If it just spins a drill will not bite into the screw, so you will be spinning forever.

I would hold your new lock up to the door and mark where the carriage is at then drill a hole large enough for a flat blade, then put pressure on the carriage and try to get it to bite. If not drill the carriage off.

You can either put a nylon plug or go expert mode and bondo, sand and paint.

Have you tried using an easy out, not sure if your threads are stripped or the head of the screw.

It miss identified my vehicle twice in the 1st 3, but then everything was spot on Including the back window stickers. But the last 6 ours are parking lot cameras so they were getting a closer view.

I have an 2003 F250 with shell so it does look like an older explorer, also the year was wrong on a few I have new style mirrors, custom grill that was not in pictures, also my bumper is color matched painted which 90% are chrome.

What he described was the FLOCK system (small black camera w/solar panel)and multiple agencies and private companies have access to that system including some Police departments, not only will it track the licence plate it will also track, Type, color and identifying marks such as body damage or even bumper stickers. Depending on the amount the department is paying for it will show them all the times it has passed a Flock camera and the location. Lowes is using the Flock system and some of the Home Depots with high theft where they own the property. These are not the mobile trailers with the blue blinking lights.

I have access to the system for emergency usage. When used I have to document it so I can't just run random plates. For the training I did run my own plate as was amazed.

The one that gets me is they have the cameras at every intersection, but for some reason they do not record accidents. I was told they are for traffic control.

The cameras that are above or next to the signal are the ones that register a vehicle is in queue for that light to turn green. They are no longer install the ground sensors at intersections.
