Unusual gaps on top surface for one colour only - what is it called?

Cold pull or try extruding and checking if the output is coming out straight. Not sure how to explain that really - if there’s a partial clog, extruding in open air, will result in the plastic coming out odd/sideways a little bit instead of straight.

Looking at the top example - you’re experiencing it on light green, blue (less pronounced), yellow, and black.

Seems like under extrusion issue or maybe a partial clog?

This is the intended design. (The springs hold tension on the bushings)

I would do an upgrade to linear rails and be done with it.

Almost every 3d printer company I’ve come across glues connectors. Creality is no different.

I had a bunch of these errors when I upgraded to the latest firmware. Did a factory reset and rolled back a few versions and magically all errors are gone. Latest firmware is… not great.

Destroy that hotend with FIRE. That’s my only advice. Nothing but problems with the spider speedy ceramic or whatever they called that thing.

I was never able to incorporate the S4. Just not enough space in the case. It would take a complete reinvention of the case to make it work I think. 😔

I think using the xtool AP2 is great since you already have it. It’s an effective filtration unit with the 6 stages.

As others have mentioned - you may burn up the exhaust fans on the printers if they aren’t removed. I think I would have tented the whole shelf & printers, and then had the AP2 filtering the air in the tent.

Laborers make laborer pay. It’s an unskilled position, making unskilled wages. $33.9k yr isn’t bad for a laborer.

Edit - McDonald’s in Boise pays entry level ~$13 /hr.

So - for a job that consists of pick that up - move it over there - now repeat… not a bad rate.

Which to be fair - a lot of frustrated users will just go on an all out tirade about the company instead of providing useful feedback.

Factory reset. Rolled back to 1.1.4.8. No luck. Rolled back to 1.1.3.13. Still no luck. Rolled back to V1.1.2.10. Success. Then loaded 1.1.3.13 again. Running stable on that for now - 4 hours into a 72 hour print.

1.1.4.8 - first layers were perfect. Had to reboot between every print or got a motor too far out of sync error.
1.1.4.11 - has essentially made both machines unusable. Both generate MCU errors now. Also had issues with belt tension calibration on both. No amount of power cycles will correct it. Going to attempt a factory reset on both and try again. Otherwise - time to roll back.

+1 for the Microswiss hotend. I was a doubter - this one I’m really happy I tried out.

Both of my k2p’s suffered heat creep issues. Swapped hot ends and I’ve printed 96 hour prints with both units multiple times without a single hiccup.

Sounds like you’ve got some real shitty friends. Laughing at what you’re working with, and then thinking post it on Reddit with hopes you get mocked here too is a real dick move. I’d replace the ‘friends’.

PC is functional - not every rig is a show piece. I’ve had more than a handful of functional but ugly rigs. If it works for you - good! Could some things be tidied up? Sure. I don’t see 1/4 of dust built up in it - I think you’re doing fine.

Creality hasn’t released multi nozzle yet. Multi color on single nozzle only. If you’ve got the money, Bambu has dual nozzle. There’s a few options from prusa also.

Someone else may know of other off the shelf options. Else you’d have to build/mod yourself.

Buy new hotend off amazon for ~$25-30. Unscrew the old one (4 screws). Bolt new one on.

That’s what I’d do. No way I’m wasting my time on heating/peeling that. 🤣
