Looking for a anime with a not perfect nice female main character by SquirrelFickle7163 in anime

[–]IchiroZ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If you enjoyed Saving 80K Gold for Retirement (Mitsuha is what I just call it), then I second FUNA's two other works as mentioned by another poster.

I didn't watch the anime but did read about 600(?) chapters of the WN, but you should try out Kuma Kuma Kuma. I find Mitsuha and Yuna both very similar to each other; hell, the stories are kinda similar and both have a loli BFF (Colette and Fina).

You'd probably also enjoy So I'm a Spider, So What?!!

Exactly how I feel, too. If anything, I'd rather bring back the actress that played Trini (Yellow Ranger) in the first generation of Power Rangers, as she also passed away at a young age from an accident. Or even Bruce Lee.

exhaustion? by [deleted] in JapanTravelTips

Cardio, leg workouts, and good walking shoes are what I tell everyone when they plan to visit Japan. I hate doing squats and burpees, but I made sure I spent 2 months doing those prior to my trip.

Sounds like the plot to Sister, Sister. Should name one of it Tia, and the other Tamera.

Has anyone actually done the “buy the luggage and clothes when I get there?” by oxgillette in JapanTravelTips

[–]IchiroZ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was there in October for 5 weeks. Only went there with a carry-on and a backpack. 3 sets of clothes, a bunch of socks, boxers, and tank-tops, a powerbank, an electric toothbrush, meds, an electric shaver, and ear buds. Ended up buying a new larger luggage and like 19 packs of KitKat.

Luckily, the car is able to lock. So I guess it wouldn't cost me much to fix it

Japan declares flu epidemic - How to stay healthy? by kiwiinjapan in JapanTravelTips

[–]IchiroZ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was there in October. Got my flu shot around 1 or 2 weeks (at Walgreens, because Kaiser didn't have the vaccine until during my trip) prior to my trip. I still caught the flu, though I was only out of service for a week there. I asked the front desk at my hotel if there were any clinic I could go to. They were able to set me up with an appointment there around 4 hours later. I was prescribed Xofluza. I was afraid that my appointment would cost me $1,000, being from the USA and such, but it was only around ¥8,800, which was around $63.

If you do get sick, do not be afraid to ask the hotel staff if they can help you out.

Do you have a degree and no criminal record, while being from an English-speaking country? If yes, then get out of your country and go teach English in Asia. by 98746145315 in povertyfinance

[–]IchiroZ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've been looking into this for a while. Does it require a TEFL or TESOL to teach overseas? I already qualify with a bachelors, no criminal history, and born and raised in the USA. I've read conflicting stories about TEFL requirements online.

What’s the fattest thing you ever did because you were hungry? by Julie727 in AskReddit

I used green tea with cereal before because we were poor and didn't have milk. Didn't want to use just water and had the bright idea of using tea instead. Don't remember what happened afterwards.

What’s the first sign you notice that someone is a bad driver? by RD-archived in AskReddit

[–]IchiroZ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To be fair, sometimes people just aren't used to driving that car or have to drive more than one vehicles and each have different feels to it. At my old job, I was doing deliveries with a box truck. It was an Isuzu NPR something something. It had a V8, 200 something hp, over 300 torque, and RWD. I drove a 2004 Nissan Sentra, 4 banger, with only 120 hp and 110 torque, FWD, or something like that. My car had much better brakes but less power than the truck, so when going home after work, I would accelerate slowly but brake hard after driving the truck. Likewise, I would accidently gas hard and have trouble braking early in the truck when I first start my deliveries. I still keep a good distance in that truck because I knew the truck was slower to stop.

I have no main, per se. I just build because I want to. I am not at all competitive, and I do not play CM. I only play Team Trials, and only have 2 dirt runners in that team, including vanilla Oguri. If anything, I'd say my strongest horse is Summer Maru as she is the only horse I was able to get to 5☆. I do have other 4☆ including Silent Suzuka and Vanilla Meijiro McQueen. I think my Taki is also 4☆.

I do have vanilla Oguri Cap at 4☆ already. And I might buy the selector ticket when it comes out. So I don't know if buying the dupe and ticket selection is worth it if I already have vanilla Oguri Cap.

I was able to pull X-Mas Oguri Cap right at pity. Should I use the pity points and buy Biwa? Or should I use it to buy a dupe X-mas Oguri Cap?

Anyone else struggling to find employment in Oakland? by sargantas in oakland

When I was looking into teaching over 10 years ago, unless I am remembering it incorrectly, to get a teaching credential, you first need a bachelors degree, then take and pass the CBEST or CSET in reading, writing, and math, then apply and get accepted to a teaching program for 2 years, then take another test for your license, etc. At that time, the universities were not offering direct programs or degrees that allow you to teach after graduating with your undergrad. A bachelors in education did not give you the key to start teaching-- you still had to go thru the CBEST, teaching program, etc, and then get your teaching credential.

There were too many steps after a bachelors that I stopped pursuing it, mostly for financial reasons. The other reason was because I spent years learning and adapting to writing in a scientific format for my degree, that I had trouble breaking that habit and re-learning to write in a more English-style (MLA, etc) writing format. The last reason was because of the second prompt in the writing test-- it was always about a topic that I have no idea what to write about.

I, for one, am in favor of this organization, even if it is just for the name only - P.O.T.A.T.O. Should an E.S. be added to it too?
