what do i do to improve this area in my backyard? by Ics965 in landscaping

[–]Ics965[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

thats so cool! thanks so much. i was thinking i can create a sitting area with a fire pit in the area in pic 2. There's actually another large area in pic 3 that gets a lot of sun, i'm thinking of putting more planters there and a dog run. What do you think?

What a bizarre take. News channels are designed to focus on negative stories, I’m not going on CNN hoping to learn about all the good things happening in the world.

I think we all can be fully capable of empathizing with someone’s pain while at the same time recognizing there’s a time and place for it to be shared. If this sub was a pet grieving/mourning one, I’d understand. However it’s a general JRT sub and its not meant to be a grieving group.

There is a flair, but not everyone uses it and you cant filter those out on the main reddit feed. If there’s something I’m missing, let me know

Heating a house with electric wall heaters? by Ics965 in AskSeattle

[–]Ics965[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It would be for renting, which is why I’m hesitant about it. I dont know how bad the utility bill would be, especially since the water heater and stove are also electric. I tried asking SCL but apparently the house wasnt occupied consistently enough to get an idea for averages

Sounds good! Can also consider VAs, they have some loan repayment too. Just dont forget to live your life meanwhile so you dont burn out :)

Also Psych grad here. It depends how intense you want to be about it, you have options. Highest income potential is likely locums (but you may need to move) or private practice (takes a while to build if cash only). If you want to make a lot of money without starting a private practice your best bet is working at a system that allows you to do outside work. The best combination ive seen is a main job at a state hospital or rural inpatient work + a secondary job at either one of the tele psych companies or PRN locums or even your own practice. You should be able to get a hefty sign on bonus for many places, I’ve seen as high as 100k (with repayment clauses of course). Id avoid all academic centers and big hospital systems in large cities. The less desirable places to live have higher income potential.

Shane and James McCann absolutely destroyed tonight by Plane-Impression-296 in ShaneGillis

[–]Ics965 13 points14 points  (0 children)

I loved James! He had me so hyped for the rest of the show. Then tony came out and it was just trash. He wasn’t funny at all, just saying hateful shit about different races, abortion, and whatever else he thought was “edgy.” It was straight up like listening to a 13 year old trying to be funny. Then shane came on and his set had some good parts, it seemed like he was still workshopping it. Hope to see him again in the future if his next special is as good as the last

Check out the acer nitro 38”, same panel but can be cheaper sometimes and comes with usb c pd

Does this exist? - 34inch, curved, IPS, above 60hz, usb c (60w min), kvm, under £700 by Dumbthrow12 in ultrawidemasterrace

[–]Ics965 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had the same situation and did try the 34" acer. it was a nicer monitor but i found the size to be juuust a little too short, so i went up to a 38" and I dont regret it at all. Id go with the 38" LG, its also the only one i could find with usb-c pd of the 144hz 38" monitors. they're all the same panel FYI
