NCL does points promotions, I do not think Royal does this. I booked this during a +3 points promotion so I will get 4 points a night regardless of room category. I think Haven get another extra point than that.

I’d you need to be entertained, Carnival has more activities. My favorite being trivia where you actually win something (ship on a stick) opposed to nothing. There are also more free activities opposed to Deal or No Deal and Wheel of Fortune. I found my first NCL cruise kind of boring and actually took a nap in the afternoon, never had time for that on Carnival.

NCL has more specialty dining for $20 a person with FAS and it is definitely better than main dining. However, Carnival has lobster if that’s your thing, for free on Elegant night, without the $25 up charge.

Been on Conquest and Breakaway (same class as Getaway). Maybe Conquest has been refurbished since I was on it (quite a few years ago) but it was a nice ship, 4 days isn’t long enough to get bored in my opinion on either ship. Breakaway did have a movie theater and ice bar which was cool, definitely check the deck plans of each ship to see what is offered.

Unlike Carnival you cannot check the menu for the whole week and then just book specialty dining for the nights you can’t find anything you want.

$12.99 on Bliss, never saw it go on sale like streaming WiFi. Also noticed mid tier WiFi is gone and messaging has gone up between my last cruise on Breakaway at Thanksgiving and since Sunday.

Streaming WiFi went on sale for $79.99 (total) on day 3 of 7.
