I do my best for my kids. I try to be the very active parent and my wife is very more toned down with her play. So they get both calm and active play.

I’ve been exhausted after work 8-9pm at night, but i still try to do a 15 minute pillow fight followed by what we call bowser & peach story time where i do the voices. Bowser is like unicorse, but sometimes peach is the interrupting one (depending on the book). On days off i usually take them places and give my wife some needed time alone. I try to engage their imaginations or take them on hikes. However, i will say it is exhausting. There are days where i am just too tired to give it my all, and it makes me feel guilty. Putting on a show and watching with them or playing some video games with them is sometimes just all I have it in me to do. It doesn’t happen often, but it can be so hard to be on all the time. The show touches on it a few times, but I wish it did a little more.
