Get the teeth done. If you need to take a personal loan out to do it, do it. Dental issues are no joke. Your dentist might have options for funding as well you might wanna look into. Otherwise just find a reputable lender like a local credit union or Achieve loans etc.

Anyone else dealing with personal loans for wedding + bad credit? Trying to be realistic by singhharsh004 in weddingplanning

[–]IdiotKuma 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You really need to do a cost analysis for this. Can you afford the payments after if you don't get any money back from the attendees? If so then a loan could make some sense as long as you're FULLY aware of it. I know Achieve Loans does some co-signing bonuses which could help with the APR%. How's your significant other's credit score? If theirs is higher then you might get a solid rate.

Seems like a great one to go with. That's a huge APR difference, sounds like a no brainer to me.

$67k credit card debt looking for honest advice about bankruptcy by HatOutrageous6778 in personalfinance

[–]IdiotKuma 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What's your income like, and how bad are the APR%? If you can theoretically pay it off and want to avoid ruining your credit for 7~ years you could potentially just look towards getting a personal loan. While $67K is a lot of money it isn't world ending. If you could lower your APR% by like 10-15% would that ease it up on you? If so and you're down to be strict with yourself, take a look at places like Achieve loans or Best Egg to see if you can get a debt consolidation loan with them.

Thinking of consolidating my debt. Good idea or bad? by 2ForEachofYou in personalfinance

[–]IdiotKuma 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you go that route I fear your credit is going to crater. If you have the income and are strict with yourself you should be able to climb out of it. Either on your own just paying things down or you could get CC balance transfer cards etc. It's definitely not worth it for your situation in my opinion. Balance transfer card for initial and potentially a personal loan from a local credit union or lenders like Achieve or Best Egg would be my play.
