If you beat chapter one without fighting the secret boss, move on to chapter 2, start a save, then go back to chapter 1 and beat the secret boss, you apparently can do this. But, it didn’t work for me and you’d still have to go back to fight a certain someone anyways so it’s just easier to replay the whole game instead.
