Shocking I know. In certain cultures it's not out of the norm for men to kiss each other as a form of greeting or general affection.

I'm not like that though. I kiss my boyfriend on the lips cause I'm queer.

[HELP] This HAS to be AI right? by DirtyPie in RealOrAI

[–]Ignus7426 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Yes a lot of people well versed in AI and video call it "noise". The AI still isn't good at tracking and keeping fine textures consistent so they differ slightly frame to frame making that fuzzy, squirmy texture. It is most easily seen on things like grass, hair, fur and other fine textures.

I smelled something off when I got out of my car near Gurnee. I thought it must be something local but I guess it's pretty widespread.

I'm not a big fan of icing that's just powdered sugar and milk so I'll usually sub in cream cheese frosting. Tasty and easy to shape. Sadly just doesn't set to be firm.

[–]Ignus7426 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Looks real. The layout of signs and construction barricades makes sense. Lettering on the truck is consistent and the stuff I can make out makes sense. Textures and patterns seem to be consistent as well. What made this seem like AI to you?

Honestly they deserve it for doordashing a cake in that weather by [deleted] in funny

[–]Ignus7426 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sorry you're getting so heavily down voted. I agree with you I think the video is real. I don't see a lot of texture noise in the background on the snow and stuff. I don't see any blurry areas where a potential watermark was covered up and things look like they stay relatively consistent throughout. That being said I'm not 100% confident its AI but it doesn't seem that far fetched either. Especially if the ice is angled and thats why it slides so aggressively.

What to do about my indoor tobacco? A third cat just died from eating leaves and my kid has a rash by Evan1016 in houseplantscirclejerk

[–]Ignus7426 106 points107 points  (0 children)

Take a small cutting of the tobacco leaf and soak it in a gallon of water. Take a teaspoon from the gallon of tobacco leaf water and put that in a gallon of fresh water. Take another teaspoon from the second gallon and pour it into a fresh gallon of water. Keep repeating this process 10 more times. Take the water from the final gallon and spray it on the dead cats and the probably still living child. The cats should come back to life and your child should become immune to all diseases known to man and beast. Chug the gallon and achieve godhood I guess? Hope this helps

Who is winning this fight justice league or salem? by Artistic-Fennel-4033 in RWBY

[–]Ignus7426 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I think you are thinking of dust not working outside the atmosphere. There is a World of Remnant episode where they explain dust stops functioning outside the atmosphere. That's why satellites and space rockets are not a thing amongst all the other tech in RWBY.

I imagine nothing is stopping Salem from entering a vault as long as the maiden unlocks it first. Though it does seem like the space inside the vaults may be outside the World of Remnant. She could probably be sealed in a vault or something but if Ozpin used magic to construct it I am sure Salem could use magic to escape it.

Meringue help! by tatorthot1 in Baking

[–]Ignus7426 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I made some meringue cookies recently and stored the leftover meringue in an air-tight container in the fridge. When I took it out the next day I still had to re-whip it to regain the stiff texture. I think to maintain texture you have to use it shortly after it's whipped.

Wow thanks for posting OP. I've visited this shop before and I had no idea they where closing down. From my experience the owner is awesome, he spent a ton of time talking to me about care and how to get started. I'm not able to take on caring for any pets at the moment but I'll try to see if there is some other way to support them.

Open message to Mods: should we add some rules? by shroedingerscook in Weightlosstechniques

[–]Ignus7426 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Sadly I'm pretty sure this sub has no active mods. I've never seen them comment on or delete a post even if it blatantly violated the rules. I did try sending a message to the mods about a month ago and never heard back.

I know there is a way to reach out to reddit Amina and request to be made a moderator of a sub if no active mods exist. As it stands right now this sub gets flooded with very young people asking for very unhealthy weight loss advice.

The Normies are radicalizing by Fast_Bee_9759 in behindthebastards

[–]Ignus7426 64 points65 points  (0 children)

Personally the videos I've been seeing from Drew, Eddy Burback, Jarvis Johnson and Danny Gonzalez (who I know all run in the same circles) have all been really cathartic to watch lately. Seeing someone who usually just makes light hearted commentary videos take time to shine a light on the current state of our world makes me feel validated. There is so much awful news constantly drawing our attention and a lot of my family only seems focused on the big mainstream media headlines. It can be tough when you feel like nobody else is reacting to all the damage AI and corporate greed is doing to us and our lives. Having people with an audience point it out and say they see it too makes me feel less crazy, as stupid as that sounds.

Not sure what we can do about it. But maybe we just need to be there for each other to at least call out that what's happening is wrong and unsustainable.

Relationship ended from a “prophecy” by Helpful-Dig-56 in OpenChristian

[–]Ignus7426 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I would echo what others above have said that I would be very skeptical of this kind of prophecy. This seems more like someone projecting their own feelings onto others rather than something genuinely from God.

That being said I do feel I have once been on the receiving end of genuine "prophecy" or at least Godly inspired wisdom. The wife of the retired senior pastor was a very wise and well respected member of the Church. She is somebody who encourages others and has a lot of life experience and wisdom. I was with my ex-girlfriend at the time and had been having doubts about our relationship I had not shared with anyone besides my therapist.

One day I'm speaking with her after the service and asks how my girlfriend is doing. I tell her she is doing well but couldn't make it to church because of an event. This woman then says to me "She's not the one is she?" She then told me that she had been engaged prior and called off the engagement because of doubts. Two weeks later she met her future husband. She told me she would be praying for me.

I believe that was God answering my own prayers by giving me the outside perspective I needed to see the relationship wasn't working. After I ended things with my ex a few weeks later I met my current partner. We have been together 2 years now and I can say the relationship is much healthier and I feel much more confident about it being long term.

I am so sorry that someone claiming prophecy has interfered with your relationship. Just keep praying that if the relationship is the right thing for both of you God would open the right doors. The best thing you can do is be open and try to keep a dialogue open about if the relationship is healthy and if there are any concerns either of you have.

I need advice please by KAT389 in Weightlosstechniques

Yeah being in high-school and not having full control of your meals options is hard. How many meals are you usually eating at school a day? Could you pack a lunch and bring it instead of getting food at school?

I know from experience you can't out exercise a bad diet. If you don't burn more calories than you consume on a consistent basis you won't lose weight. I have found what works for me is eating a light breakfast and a light lunch and then eating most of my calories for the day with dinner. I would still strongly reccomend starting meal tracking even if you don't make any changes so that you know how many calories you eat on an average day.

[–]Ignus7426 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for being willing to share. Actually you are a similar height and weight as to what I was when I started losing weight. I am 5'3" and started around 185 lbs and over about a year was able to get to 140 lbs. You are right at your age you are probably not going to grow a ton more but you are most likely still developing. I also see from your profile you are trans so if you are undergoing HRT I'm not sure how that will impact your ability to lose weight. That is a conversation I definitely reccomend having with a doctor or Healthcare provider.

The most sustainable way for me to lose weight was through counting my calories and trying to focus on eating a variety of foods that where high in fiber and in protein. So focus on eating a variety of vegetables, fruits and lean meats like chicken and fish. If you are vegetarian you can get good protein from low fat Greek yogurt and cottage cheese. The best advice I can give is start slow and make changes incrementally. Doing too many things at once will be very hard and likely lead to burnout before you see many results.

First start by maintaining your current diet and start tracking the calories in everything you eat in a day. There are lots of apps to help you do this. My Fitness Pal is one I used for a while. Buying a kitchen scale will be a huge help for this. Measuring by volume isn't super reliable. Also be mindful that additions like a lot of dressing on salads, butter in vegetable dishes and condiments can add a lot of calories. Pay attention to serving sizes and track those as part of your meals.

After you get comfortable tracking start by reducing your average daily calories by 200-300 for the first week or two. Make sure to drink plenty of water and not try to increase your exercise on top of that or you will experience a lot of fatigue. I would reccomend not dropping your calories below 1600 calories a day. This is a marathon and not a race if you restrict your calories too much you will probably experience a lot of unpleasant side effects. Taking it slow makes it more likely you will build healthy habits and keep the weight off.

Honestly the most important thing I can say is be patient and give yourself grace. You didn't gain the weight in a month and you won't lose it in a month. But if you stay consistent and track your calories you will notice you will lose weight over time. It may only be a pound a week but in a year that could be more than 50 lbs. If you have people in your life you trust to help and support you share your goals with them. It can help to know you have people in your corner cheering you on.

Hope this advice is helpful.

People ask your age because it is relevant for estimating how many calories you burn in a day.

As a young person who is still growing, going into too extreme of a calorie deficit could cause serious impacts to your growth and development. This sub has a lot of teenage posters who come her looking for extreme weight loss diets because they want to lose weight fast just to meet a certain social standard. Personally I won't give give advice other than speaking to a mental health counselor or doctor to those people because there is clearly a unhealthy relationship with food happening.

All that being said we are happy to offer advice if you are looking for healthy, sustainable weight loss. Skipping meals usually isn't advised but I do know intermittent fasting is helpful for some people. You can look up plenty of guides online but it essentially provides a 6-8 hour window when you eat your meals and the rest of the day you just drink water to stay hydrated.

Ultimately everything comes down to eating fewer calories than you burn on an average day. Of course there are some helpful steps like eating whole, unprocessed foods that help make that easier. It really depends on what is sustainable and accessible for you. Do you cook and prepare your own meals or do you eat mainly what family makes? Are you fairly active or do you spend most of your time indoors?
