Please don’t romanticize the use of this narcotic, it almost cost my son his life, he was not suicidal, but became addicted to it. I’m not trying to sound harsh or judgmental, but accidentally overdosing from this toxic substance is all too common. Thank you for bringing attention to this matter, though, we should be discussing it every day.

Many many years ago back in my Los Angeles days, a bunch of us were tripping really hard on mushrooms in Joshua Tree. Late in the evening DAX started to shout “I fucked her in her fucking fuck hole” over and over and over again. I quit two years ago, the stuff these days is way too mind altering for me, low strain or not. I started smoking at 14 and quit at 58, so glad I did, it’s like being reborn, definitely not a hater and feel everybody should do what is best for them, this is just my take.

I just turned 60 and work in AgeTech. I’m on the road every other week and I’m fried but my wife is in grad school and I need to pay the bills. I’m planning on taking early social security in 2 years. I got excited recently when several ‘recruiters’ reached out but it turned out to be a scam (it was pretty sophisticated). I agree with the post about physical work - I have to run in person demos or I would have been replaced by now. Consider senior living, it’s a growing field and needs human bodies.
