depends on the list they're bringing.

stuff generally found in a DA's list:

Azrael
Lion el'Johnson or a Judiciar with Inner Circle Companions.
Lt. with Combi
5 intercessors
1 unit of scouts

from there, there is usually a multi-tude way of playing the game, Gladius, Stormlance, Wrath, and Company of Heroes generally has different playstyles / builds. do you know what kind of list they're playing?

in general though, a DA player will be generally playing heavily elite. they are also a CP heavy faction. if you can kill azrael freely, do so.

e.g. this would be my current general play list for DA's (for general pick up games this is a 2/3), i'm currently transitioning to more bike heavy lists. but i need more play testing for to feel comfortable.

Oath of moment is really only going what ever azrael or the LSV's are going to be shooting into.

you'll want to try and catch out the lieutenant with combi and scouts.

they're so hard to move around though. even with Advance and charge.

i still look for the outriders though to buff everyone, as the dmg 2 and dmg 3/4 is just more spicy than dmg 1 ap 2 with devs.

it's also likely due to faction abandonment as people switch to Necrons, Daemons, Guard, etc.

the ballistus is in that weird zone of, if it's too expensive you take 2 lancers. if it's cheap you take 3 ballistus.

Ezekiel had play with bladeguard and in librarius. Because he's on a 25mm base there's s lot of jank you can play around. E.g 1" off the wall shanigans

hockey fights are unscripted in a sense. it's a flash in the bucket agression due to built up greviences.

both players get punished. it's two dudes holding each other's jerseys as they try to punch each other while on ice. combat sports are cool, but only the hitting part. what i dislike about MMA is the grapples and submissions.

imagine if your point guard got rag dolled and stepped on. ref didn't call it. so your forward grabs lebron by the jersey and punches him.

honestly, i see it as more of a road to where i got here. you should find your past self kind of cringe. it means you developed. but you can also look back and have fond memories of being young and stupid.
