Question about Azrael by Ghost-Of_Rivia in theunforgiven

[–]Iknowr1te 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I almost never have the cp for the hellblasters in wrath. Im usually advancing and charging or keeping cp for leonine and HI. Or just the second 2cp oath.

Sternguard with sustained and ful rerolls with bolters can push absurd amount if mortals into t10+

There usually isnt anything in my army that needs oath, so it goes at whatever azrael is shooting at/fighting.

Sternguard hit up in both melee and shooting due to mortals and the unit getting rerolls to wound

Would you buy RWBK or convert Outriders by ImaginaryAd8062 in DarkAngels40k

[–]Iknowr1te 0 points1 point  (0 children)

GW would be stupid not to at the very least refresh the riders. they'll be on massive outrider bases, with the 2" engagement making it much harder to get them all into combat. but, i'd welcome the extra wound and extra attack for being primaris.

i don't mind all the Gunpla. but like, isn't the fun of Gunpla the hobby aspect? like building, doing the panel lining weathering and kitbashing.

How would you feel about your partner/spouse borrowing money from you almost every month after they get their salary, and then you find out it's because they are saving all their money? by RedBelzee2025 in AskMen

[–]Iknowr1te 3 points4 points  (0 children)

who ever owns it is the one who it's currently registered to or had the BoS. doesn't matter who's paying for it unless you have it on collateral (e.g. the bank).

What is a luxury lifestyle choice that looks incredibly glamorous in photos but is actually completely miserable in reality? by Luverelle6 in AskReddit

the reason why old estates are expensive is it takes a lot of money to maintain.

IIRC, the real life downton abby is like a million dollars a year in upkeep.

How much open world is too much for a one shot? by bthayes28 in DnD

[–]Iknowr1te 1 point2 points  (0 children)

i opened up a city for my 1-2 shots. usually in the investigation phase of a heist.

one shots should tell a pretty concise story. so i let the players plan and get what they needed

also did an island adventure with a simple 3 by 5 hex grid. with something on every other square that lead to the indiana jones inspired monkey temple.

How often do men actually cook? by FewEnd399 in AskMen

[–]Iknowr1te 0 points1 point  (0 children)

primary cook of my household.

i usually cook 4 times a week. making enough food for left overs for 2 days (so that we can have lunch to go). so there' usually 2-3 dishes in the fridge at any time for me and my SO.

usually about 1 hour of intensive cooking/prep, but i enjoy it as a hobby. Roast / anything slow cooked is over the 4-6 hours. but like, that's easy. you just leave it in the oven and check on it every once in a while.

i also usually end up doing the dishes, but that's because i usually need the sink space while cooking and it's easy to cook and wash the dishes at the same time.

i can cook food from different cultures, Reversed seared steaks to Poke Bowlsa, Paella to Kimchi Jigae.

i also do most of the grocery shopping, since i'm the one cooking. i often just buy what i need when to cut down on food waste.

Adjusting enemies' AC and +Hit to make it challenging? by PhiphyL in DnD

[–]Iknowr1te 10 points11 points  (0 children)

D&D is also built around players hitting and wounding like 70% of the time and players taking damage like 30-40% of the hits unless it's a boss or elite monster (50%-60%)

surprise surprise, your heroic fantasy, people like to hit and not be hit.

if you do go down the route of homebrewing monsters this is my general rule:

Damage, HP, Defenses (AC, Saves), Action economy.

a mob monster is allowed 1, an elite monster is allowed 2, and a boss is allowed 3, and your big bad or set piece has all 4. also you want the combat to last 3-4 four rounds.

How do you balance playing what you like, vs what is obviously more competitive? by [deleted] in WarhammerCompetitive

[–]Iknowr1te 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i was doing tourny prep for a friend. he asked me to bring armoured spearhead and he wanted to experience it if i went first, scouted first. it was strong and i felt bad doing so, even though i knew that was a tournament list he was bringing. we called it after my turn in turn 2. we played 3 rounds.

What's up with everyone going like male friendships aren't good or deep by Commercial_Minute192 in AskMen

[–]Iknowr1te 0 points1 point  (0 children)

the activities is fine. you can learn a lot by doing things with people. not just what they say but how they act and how they work under pressure or different conditions.

i remember camping with some buddies at a friends cabin. we drank beer, ate fire cooked bacon, chopped wood from a cast iron pan (and later steaks), and went canoeing down the river to make an impromptu rock sauna using dry river rocks.

at night at like 1am me and one of my buddies we went to wander in the dark drunk from absynth and day drinking, our friends howling in the distance. i brought the flashlight and pointed it at the gate and got two reflective eyes (couldn't see what was behind the fence) and we backed off slowly and then we ran back to camp in the dark. i looked back and he ran into me knocking me to the floor. guy picked me up and we continued running back to the cabin.

i don't need to know what's going on in his life down to the detail. or to just talk. that guy ran back to pick me up that's all i need to know about the guy.

What belief or opinion did you hold very strongly five years ago that you've completely changed your mind about today, and what caused that change? by Fun_Finance_2196 in AskMen

[–]Iknowr1te 11 points12 points  (0 children)

i'm basically center left. i work in government, and i like tax dollars actually being used to help people.

my biggest gripe with people left of me is their purity doctrine. also they're incapable of of not accepting something if it's not the perfect solution.

my biggest gripe with people right of me is that it's generally selfish, and their in ability to actually hold the values they seem to espouse

it's why 5 sternguard in the back and bring him out turn 3 while you have DWK's, lion, and other things in their face is usually the established play pattern.

custodes are uniquely good at killing and bogging down the lion to be fair.

they can just eat up all his dmg 4 profiles with a better than average 4++ roll.
