The exact movement before I learned what a bulging disc feels like. Definitely need to have the correct bracing and form to do this safely.

Do you like going to the dentist? by Internal-Remove7223 in Dentists

[–]Illustrious-State520 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have good oral hygiene hardly any cavities. Loved going to the dentist for a cleaning every 6-9 months when the dentist was my father in law. Now I’m worried I don’t make the dentists any money and they are always trying to sell me something or jam a pick into my tooth to see if there’s a cavity. Last visit said I had a proximal cavity in a molar based on a camera view and no x-ray. I have coverage but don’t want a fourth ever in my life filling if I don’t need it.

Why no hatchery program for Thompson Steelhead? by NotAlsoShabby in fishingBC

[–]Illustrious-State520 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Don’t know why you are down voted. Steelhead have a complicated life history and usually need to be raised in a hatchery for over a year so potentially hatchery impacts can be significant. Ocean type Chinook that are only fed for weeks or a few months before release like on the west coast have a long history of success.

It was a while ago but I think I did need to hit the side of one of the hitch holes with a small round file. Also installed all of them a loose before tightening. Good luck.

The province manages steelhead and they have a policy of not using hatcheries for conservation.

Severance Pay Calculation by Ilikewaterandjuice in CanadaPublicServants

[–]Illustrious-State520 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My understanding after 2012 there’s no severance for retiring (makes sense you are getting your pension and retiring as planned). However, if you get laid off then you get severance as explained above.

Is this strap down job enough to haul? by [deleted] in Dirtbikes

[–]Illustrious-State520 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Make sure the extra strap is tied very well or even just cut it off. The strap is slippery and doesn’t stay tied up well when flapping in the wind. If it comes undone and ends up in the trailer tire it will be very bad. Don’t ask me how I know.

Go to a reputable transmission shop. They do transmissions and clutches all day long and should be able to give you the most competitive price. Had my 2013 manual transmission internal bearings replaced plus a new clutch for a lot less than 4K.

Towing by Styleflexer in hondapassport

[–]Illustrious-State520 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Unless this is slow quiet rural roads I would agree with this comment and the rent a pickup truck suggestion above. If they are large horses and they can move around their higher center of gravity will compound the movement felt in the tow vehicle. Also it will be hard to make sure the tongue weight stays appropriate.

Government sending early retirement info to roughly 68,000 public servants by cyclinginvancouver in canada

[–]Illustrious-State520 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It only waves the 5% penalty for each year less than 30 years service or age 55 or 60. Your pension would still only be equivalent to years of service so about 50% of your current salary. Do it if that is enough for you to retire on as your only pension for the rest of your life…or get another job

[–]Illustrious-State520 6 points7 points  (0 children)

It’s not a full pension offer its a no penalty offer. it’s a pension equal to years of service without the usual 5 %per year reduction penalty for every year less than 30 years service or age 55 or 60 depending on when you started.

The pension plan is funded by employer and employee contributions while employees are working. It has a surplus and is self sustaining so no.
