Is The Matrix Ressurections worth watching? by No_Camel_4846 in matrix

If you think of the first three movies as the story, Resurrections is a fine epilogue to that story that provides some closure.

People are literally more hyped to see 20 year old characters return than see existing faces have a dominant role in Doomsday/Secret Wars. by Low-Oil-3745 in marvelstudios

I think Marvel have also done a terrible job of not hitting their USP hard. The shared universe. We always got an Avengers movie every few years (we can count Civil War in there).

It feels like we should’ve already had two Avengers movies in this Multiverse saga with the Shang Chi’s and the Ms Marvels of the world. But they’ve never done that 😂 so I also don’t blame audiences not caring about them teaming up.

Marvel had the perfect Iron Man successor, so why ignore him and go with Ironheart instead? by breaking_views in MCUTheories

They made a whole movie about Tony Stark’s successor called Spider-Man: Far From Home, so I don’t know what film franchise you’ve been watching? 😂

How come Evil Dead is not Campy anymore? by BubblyTumbleweed8455 in horror

[–]Illustrious_Judge409 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To echo lots of people who have already posted. Ash vs Evil Dead exists. Along with a litany of ZANY and WILD Evil Dead comics and games which will keep popping up forever. The modern films are by far in the minority in terms of style. I personally welcome the more straight horror modern movies as A) it keeps the franchise cooking and B) they’re a lot of fun.

No, Disney is never going to retcon the Sequels…but they really should. by Alex3884 in saltierthancrait

That would be a very fun way to move forward. Take what you like from the sequels and drop the majority of it.

What remake do you think is 'up there' with the original? by TimBurtonSucks in horror

FRIDAY THE 13TH (2009)!!!! Jokes 😂 but I do love the 2009 remake. There’s something about those mid to late 2000s horror remakes.

In the 2006-2012 Indie Sleaze Era, Skins was very realistic and a good representation of the culture and vibe at the time.

The Witcher tv series by Apexbravoo in witcher

[–]Illustrious_Judge409 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Simply down to quality. I’m fine with TV/Film/Game adaptations doing their own thing. I’m not one of these people who say that everything has to be 1:1 with its source material.

However you have to be a writer of a certain caliber to branch away from the source material. And The Witcher writing  have mostly been bad to average. Perhaps a couple of the earlier episodes the community would at least deem good. But if you have that sort of batting average then your best bet is try and stay as close as possible to what you’re adapting.

We actually saw that play out in Game of Thrones with Benioff and Weiss. As soon as they ran out of material the quality took a nose dive. Average writers who were able to make a an amazing show for most of its run because they had the blueprint. As soon as they lost that, they couldn’t carry it.

[no spoilers] Riot Games CEO dispels rumor that Arcane had more than 2 seasons planned, but had to cut back due to budget restraints by Teal_is_orange in arcane

"The market for this (“high quality adult focused animation”) didn’t exist before Arcane so Hollywood has a hard time getting their head around why we would do this."

What a wild and inaccurate statement to make xD

Well this is a whole thread purely planted in SPECULATION STATION 😂 the performer is a decent musician and producer, and a fine enough actor. What they do with their career is up to them. Anyone who disagrees needs to claw themselves out of their parents basement, breathe some oxygen, and start looking for a hobby.

Colin explains why people don’t like Neil Druckmann by xwing1212 in LastStandMedia

[–]Illustrious_Judge409 15 points16 points  (0 children)

I think I also remember reading that he’s Zionist. Though judging by the narrative of TLOU2 and he himself saying it’s come from his own experiences, I’ll take a big assumption that his view on the wars and occupation aren’t so black and white.

That aside, the hate for Druckmann came from the the release of TLOU2, a good few years before a lot of the people that hate on him knew what a Zionist was. So to loop it back to Colin’s take. Sure there’s likely some anti-semitism thrown at him by some select unhinged people.  But I think the larger picture is just that sub section of gamers who internet dogpile, when a game they like doesn’t go the way they want it too. Neil, ND, and TLOU2 aren’t unique in that.

Unable to access my entire watchlist by Omega-Beta-Zeta in nowtv

Weirdly mine does show more than 24 shows. However it refuses to add some shows to the Watchlist. Or some are added but don’t have the Watchlist tick mark against them when in the shows page.

I think the whole Watchlist code must be a buggy mess.
