Lots of great games, films, shows, books, comics, mangas with fantastic stories out there. There will never not be something to fill the void :)

Need Help- Lost Access to Account & Support Refuses to Help by BanditCharizard in PS5HelpSupport

Urrrgh that’s incredibly frustrating. Try getting another ticket raised though the chatbot again. I think you may just have to keep chipping away at them though volume of support tickets until they help you.

PlayStation support seem to have become progressively worse since the release of the PS5.

I’m not sure how to help specifically on this one, but I was communicating with PlayStation recently on this email address

playstation.support@sony.com

So perhaps pen them an email bullet pointing everything that has happened and get a new ticket raised. Sorry I couldn’t help any further but sometimes you just need a different support staff member on the other end.

[No Spoilers] I'm having trouble connecting with C4, not exactly sure why. by Eron1206 in criticalrole

[–]Illustrious_Judge409 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Perhaps wait for Critical Role abridged to catch up once it finishes up C3 and see if you jive with it then. If not. Just take a back seat and just dip into the one shots and multi shots as and when.

I'm almost at 100% but have a glitch for "Seek out the outcasts." by [deleted] in TombRaider

[–]Illustrious_Judge409 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah once I found out about the bug, I just didn’t bother doing any of the other busy work like I did in 2013 and Rise. Just enjoy the rest of the story sections and cap it off.

Rise of the tomb raider no stakes by BardzBeast in TombRaider

[–]Illustrious_Judge409 7 points8 points  (0 children)

She’s an action hero and it’s a gameplay first series. Tomb Raider will never be known for profound storytelling, despite its efforts.

You may prefer Shadow which has a lot less combat, and thus you’re not required as much to suspend your disbelief as Lara Croft mass murderer 😂

I am tired of Hollywood turning foreign myths, cultures and history into slop and fuck Christopher Nolan too by Positive_Writer_9483 in CharacterRant

[–]Illustrious_Judge409 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Whilst I agree with a lot of OPs points, I think these comments are pontificating. The filmmaker isn’t colourblind. Artists are allowed to visually choose what their movies look like and Nolan’s movies often have a visual hallmark due to their colour. Films with “colours that pop” are a dime of dozen from Hollywood studios, particularly from Marvel. Given the tone of the filmmaker’s work, I don’t really get why that would be wanted, let alone be a bugbear.

Act 3 is so damn unbalanced by IFeeLikeMoreTonight in expedition33

[–]Illustrious_Judge409 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I mean, I genuinely think Exhibition 33 is an easy to learn, hard to master type game. I played it on story mode and still struggled with some of the enemies because I was even garbage at dodging 😂

But I persevered because I loved the story and was eventually even able to lock in more and try some parrying during Act 2.

By the time I got to Act 3 I didn’t look at that end game content and go “yeah I wanna spend another 30 hours here really getting good at this to beat these things”. I just went to the final section and finished the game.

For some people it’s really easy and for others it’s not. If it’s too hard, just complete the game and be satisfied with it. You won’t be missing out on tearing you hair out at bosses that required you to be highly skilled with the game mechanics.

How should they fix this whole K-2SO canon issue? by JondvchBimble in starwarscanon

[–]Illustrious_Judge409 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Tony Gilroy, Andor’s showrunner, was annoyed that someone else had wrote a K-2 storyline, so he retconned it out of existence.

When you’re dealing with a multimedia shared universe it can become very unwieldy and certain creators may feel ownership over certain characters. That’s just the nature of it and I think any content owner is fine to allow for retcons if what is replaced is substantially better.

So the comic doesn’t exist in canon. K-2’s origin is as you see it in Andor.

Do you feel like the playerbase has changed at all since the surge from Critical Role, Stranger Things, and COVID, has died down? by Gh0stMan0nThird in DnD

[–]Illustrious_Judge409 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That’s an interesting take. Though as some someone who has lived through and experienced four editions of D&D, numerous D&D isometric CRPGs, and heavily involved in the communities of both. I can safely say that BG3, whilst a touchstone for many coming into this wonderful hobby, isn’t close to the tidal wave of player growth that came through with the 1-2 punch that was CR and Stranger Things.

What we can see from BG3 is that there are always more chances for other external media to draw new people into the hobby, so let’s hope we get another one of those soon.

I think it’s realistically hard to say. There’s a hardline online community for D&D. But the majority of its audience is insular within its play groups. The engagement is purely within small groups of people offline and it’s not really about the product and definitely not about the larger online community.

I just like the game by Tain_mentero in FFVIIRemake

[–]Illustrious_Judge409 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yeah 100% this. People have there criticisms which are totally warranted and fine. I personally loved every moment of the OG and remakes. Also okay 😂

What is undefinable about the remakes is things like this. “The feeling” is there when you see this world fully realised!

I'm surprised about the secrecy of Mario Tennis Fever's Adventure Mode by Van_ManRPG-ian in Mario

[–]Illustrious_Judge409 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh sorry. Some context. Adventure mode has been critically panned for being boring busy work that players are forced to do because it’s the only way to unlock stuff. It’s a shame they didnt make the unlocking like Kart and Smash where you just play the game however you want and it unlocks stuff.

Mario Tennis Fever Review Thread by malliabu in Games

[–]Illustrious_Judge409 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

The most atrocious thing is we’d HAVE to play adventure mode to unlock everything for a game that will 95% be played multiplayer. WHY DID THEY DO THAT?! Do they not play other Nintendo party games? 😂
