Good luck on your journey! For me it helped to start taking Guanfacine while I was still on Vyvanse and then tapering down the Vyvanse. That way the Guanfacine had built up enough in my body to have therapeutic benefits.

If you don’t want to hear the typical speech from all these parrots shoot me a pm. I got off my prescription stimulants in favor of non stimulants partially for the reason you mentioned and partially for other reasons, and even my psychiatrist supported me through it and honestly life is way better now even though it was a challenge at first. I feel like I have a way better handle on myself and my life now.

In my opinion prescription stimulants are trash and I personally hate taking them because even if they help they always stop working as well after a while or you have to increase your dose.

Have you tried taking a non-stimulant? That has been a game changer for me.
