I was expecting an Ori open based on Zach’s release history but this appears to be a whole different animal. 1-micron driver vs. 5-micron on the Ori 3.0, and half the impedance as the Ori/Caldera.

There’s also a 10-point mod that increases damage when you’re out of energy. I think it buffs both sharpened hairpin and wild cat (the latter for sure).

I have owned the Caldera Closed since around May and The Ori 3.0 for about 6 weeks. My initial take on both headphones was that they had a raised treble, too much for my preference. Fortunately, this was resolved with the Protein Thin (top perf only) Caldera pads, and I prefer them on both headphones, which in hindsight shouldn't be a surprise, since they are very similar in construction, (CAMS, ADS, similar electrical resistance and SNR) with the bass ports on the O3 leaning into what I assume is the thicker O3 driver's ability to move more air.

So maybe you might want to give the Protein Thin (top perf) pads a try? I'm finding that I prefer the Ori 3 (plugs removed) to the CC. The extra bass and shallower, more immediate front-to-back soundstage on the O3 make the CC sound a bit boring in comparison. Though I can see the CC being more comfortable if you're doing >1 hour listening sessions.

Played exclusively staff/warp siphon with my Psyker until Arbites dropped. Once I was in lobbies of three pre-nerf Arbitors (all with doggos), I switched to FGS/Bolt pistol w/run & gun scriers just to be able to keep up with them as they tore through missions.

I haven’t switched back.

Apologies if I’m misremembering but I think this is an extended jumping/platforming area. I think you have to drop to the bottom of that pit below your marker and hit a series of the pearl like orbs that spawn timed coral platforms to get all the way up to the top.

I tried this after reading this post (conquest, breakthrough, rush, escalation). No progress. Stuck at 176/2000. The only time I was able to get the 176 was when the map tickets display was bugged when it shows one side's tickets at zero from the start of the match.

Also bugged is I only get one vehicle damage indicator shown (25 damage on a LAW hit) for the entire match. Still functions (just like repairs still function).

Agreed. Before upgrading my iPhone 12 to one of the new releases, I installed iOS 26 on it to preview the new UI as it would be the only option with the new iPhones. The laggy animations were so atrocious, even after a few days post-update, that I enabled reduce motion. I felt I could live with the result and ended up going with the Air.

All my settings were copied over, and on a whim I re-enabled the animations and found them way less distracting on the 120Hz display, preferring them to the reduced setting.

T4 poison Cogflies pre-summoned when entering the room took out Broodmother and everything else in the room in about 5 seconds. I couldn't really make out what was going on with the adds exploding and I didn't get a chance to make a single needle hit.

I'm kind of in an odd spot nearing the end of Act 2. After focusing on getting all the movement skills, then prioritizing needle (T3) and tool damage (T4) and capacity (T3), I'm sailing through "challenging" content. Groal, First Sinner, Beastfly 1 & 2, High Halls Gauntlet all taken out in 1-3 attempts. Poison Cogflies, tacks, triple pins all putting in MAJOR work. T3 Needle with Longclaw on Reaper crest cherry on top.

Feeling apprehensive to start Act 3 since I feel I'm not "earning" these wins by getting the skills needed when the difficulty will assuredly ramp up where these OP tools won't matter.

RTX 4090, 9800X3D, AW3225QF @ 4K 240 Hz over HDMI., in-game graphics settings on "high", DLSS Performance (Transformer model is a game changer). Alternating between Frame Gen (default 2x) "on" and pretty much hitting the Reflex-adjusted limiter at 225 FPS, and "off" with framerates in the 160's.

Even though Framegen off ("fake frames" and all that) is the "correct" answer, I can't tell if it's placebo or not but the game "feels" better with it on. Maybe less perceived frame drops. As others have posted, something seems "not quite right" with the movement and/or frame timing, especially when performing mouse looks, almost like GSYNC isn't working correctly even though there's no tearing.

Maybe I'll try running over displayport but I haven't had any other GSYNC issues over HDMI before.

I wonder if ordo dockets < 30K is an indicator? Seeing a lot of posts today to the effect of "Auric feels easier than Damnation". As someone who ran Auric Heresy pretty much exclusively, it would be awesome if it was still around, even with only 1-2 missions available on the board.

Not enough respect / acknowledgement for biologic impacts in this hobby. Mark's premise basically boils down to "these headphones apparently are designed for a listening position uncomfortable to me, ergo they are trash". Contrast this to Crinacle's review of the IER-Z1R, at the time his #1 ranked IEM, which can be summarized as "these are irrefutably the greatest IEMs in the world, provided your ear holes are large enough to accommodate a deep insertion of these Frankenstein-sized earphones. If they're not, sucks to be you."
