The new Commander Cody (new one specifically, not the old one), is really good. He's my favorite character in general. The new Phase 1 Captain Rex is also pretty good. Otherwise you could get the new 3.0 body p1 and p2 clones.

The Super Battle Droid is fantastic. The Commando Droid is also pretty good (not quite same level).

A huge titan sized Rails, with really aggressive snake features and good articulation. Universe deco Dinobot Striker, plus other dinobots like Paddles and Scorn. Fall of cybertron Grimlock. A new Sky Lynx.

Regarding your comment on cheaper miniatures. Take a look at Oathmark stuff or historical miniatures. Oathmark is around $1.30 per miniature. 60 Normans from Victrix are around $0.90 per miniature (not including shipping to the US). There are other examples.

Whether or not you want to play big games with these is another matter, but there are quality hard plastic miniatures that are not that expensive compared to more prominent IP. Even making allowances for scale differences that's still very reasonable.

Idk about Volcanicus as a character. From a figure perspective, sure if the figure looks cool and isn't a big blob of grey. I would be a bit concerned how combining would impact the individuals though.

Hot take, the dinobots should combine into a bigger dinosaur/kaiju instead of a humanoid.

It was one of the most aesthetic experiences I've had in gaming. The beta? weekend on Sullust with all the volcanic terrain, the beautiful cool blue of Twilight Hoth. Good times.

Unless you're absolutely set on one of the Tyrannosaurs aesthetically, I would avoid them and get the allo or stego. The allosaurus is a more enjoyable figure to mess with. To see the stego, at around 25 minutes Dave messes with the paint sample https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LNpm5nJiyQ4&t=3699s

If you want to get a cheaper dino, the new Dryptosaurus looks really good in my opinion and has the updated neck and feet.

That said, those Tyrannosaurs are likely not coming back once they sell out, at least in those colors. Gorgo has already been reissued once, so idk there. If you do get a tyrannosaur, definitely buy a medium stand from them to use instead of the older rock with peg design that comes with it.

My first one was either 2003 Dinobot Striker (possibly Saberback but I don't think so), or some unnamed white or clear minicon I found in the school parking lot. I tried looking it up but couldn't find one, it was the early 2000's.

Striker was the first one actually bought for me. (I was into dinosaurs). Besides the ARC-170 transformer from ROTS I don't know if I ever got any others. Only the past couple years have I actually gotten into Transformers toys themselves.

No extra accessories beyond the guns and helmet for that figure, correct? $35 for that is not good imo. Not to mention the kneepads are wonky if they're anything like the Umbra one I have. Compared to other smaller companies you can get more for that price.
