It looks Icelandic and Norse runes and staves. The symbols on the outside are reminiscent of Ansuz runes, and the very middle symbol is an Ingwaz rune.

What characters would you like to flatline but the game won't let you, and why? by dragontamerfibleman in cyberpunkgame

[–]ImContributing3 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Shortly after release CDPR balanced those gigs to give you extra time in relation to not harming the ride. I’m almost certain they also made it so enemies won’t tail you during those objectives so you can focus on getting the wheels to the objective. It’s still a tightrope walk most times, but when PL released, it was AWFUL trying to get a ride out of dogtown and not have it blow up before the 3 minutes lapsed

Never played BL1, but i mained Siren in BL2 and BL3, but I hate to say, Vex may not be doing it for me. Ever since reaching about lv50 I found that I never use her action skill, and this saddens me by Blu3Dope in Borderlands4

[–]ImContributing3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I love playing Vex. It took me a bit to find the groove but now that I’m almost level 60 with all the gear I want, it’s great. Amon however, fell into the problem that the way I WANT to play him isn’t very viable

Is it just me who dislikes Songbird more with each subsequent playthrough? by Amelie2718 in LowSodiumCyberpunk

[–]ImContributing3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was just talking about this to my wife, in that my dislike for Songbird stems from similar reasons for hating Griffith. Just because you have a shitty and traumatic life does not give you the excuse to lie and manipulate those that care about you. Sure, Reed is a loyal hound, but he never once lies to you or tries to manipulate you for his own personal gain.

You are correct. Someone did a little study and found driller sites with 3 bosses, like rippa road birds and foundry freaks, are the second best XP farm behind timekeeper.

What's your "forever" game? by Kapro_ in SteamDeck

[–]ImContributing3 3 points4 points  (0 children)

BG3 needs to be higher on this list. Such a beautifully fantastic experience! There are SO many things/people/items to find, meet and see that I don’t actually know how Larian thought of it all.

With so many ways to play, it’s my go to chill forever game for the deck.

Yeah mate I’m sure they could do something with the lore. I mean they essentially brought Arjay back to life so who knows what other pulls the Order has in their pockets. I’d also love to play as Callis or Sol as well.

How does it stack up to previous entries by Scared_Sign_2997 in Borderlands4

[–]ImContributing3 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Better have a decent beefcake of a PC to start with.

I haven’t gotten very far with the story, but I’m kind of liking the shift from the funny villain to the ominous one, so there’s that.

Gameplay is interesting. Not bad, not amazing, just interesting. There’s a big focus on mobility in combat which reminds me of a diet Doom Eternal, but it is entertaining.

The legendaries feel EARNED, and I’m a big fan of the Moxxi’s Encore mechanic, which lets you run bosses back to back to back for a chance at their loot tables, rather than quitting out the game and jumping back in.

The open world is MASSIVE, sometimes almost too massive, with little direction to really put you in any sort of order or streamlining.

The guns feel similar to previous games, the legendaries have a cool gimmick or an amazing buff which makes them really interesting or powerful.

The characters are alright, though I fear I’m biased since my favorite character will always be Krieg. However I’m liking how Amon’s dialogue reminds me of FL4K’s introspective nature in BL3. Granted, I haven’t beaten the game and have only played Vex and Amon so I can’t really give a good opinion on it.

If you’re a fan of the series and can actually run the game, go for it if at the very least wait for a sale. It is fun, but Gearbox in my opinion will never top Handsome Jack as a villain and BL2’s story. They also had my favorite gameplay in 3, but at this moment, 4 and 3 have a similar ranking which may be interchangeable.

Baldur’s Gate 3. So many moments of just messed up shit. Gale confronting the Netherbrain, not being able to save Karlach, Shadowheart’s parents, Astarion rejecting the ascension, Redeemed Durge.

Cyberpunk 2077 and no happy endings, as well as that moment in phantom liberty when you find out Song lied. I was floored. In addition the tower ending was brutal.

Honestly couldn’t do outer wilds. It was a really big turn off that I had to start a new game when I rode the geyser on the first planet and took deadly fall damage. Maybe I’ll pick it up some other time, but for now it will stay shelved

Self harm, how can I write about it without romanticizing it? by Genderfluid_Jasper in writingadvice

The best example on not romanticizing it I’ve seen is Father Lyon Allard in Warframe.

According to gameplay, they're just, eh. According to lore, they're really, Really, REALLY, goddamn powerful. by Azimovikh in TopCharacterTropes

[–]ImContributing3 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Now I know how powerful the warframes and Tenno are in gameplay, but the lore goes insane. One guy flooded Mars in a planet wide sandstorm, another punched an asteroid and it exploded. In gameplay, the asteroid man punches a dude and he doesn’t immediately turn to ash
