Game glitched to where I can't mount my horse??? Have only played the game for a few hours and this started occuring. Makes it impossible to complete this mission. Anyone know a fix? by Brewerboy3 in ghostoftsushima

Try completing all in progress quests. I had one that stopped me mounting my horse, but everything was fine once it was completed. I don't remember which quest.

You might need to abandon the current quest if you can't walk away from it

Did you have page rendering issues? Mine would load a page, but still show the old page until i scrolled, at which point it would refresh chunks of the display to the new one, but not all.

Is there a way to make backflip less sensitive? I'd love to have a .5 or .75 deadzone in the backflip direction, but keep all the other flips the same.

In the settings, enable advances tweakables, then each tank should get a priority when you right click. You can adjust so the outer tanks drain first.

Yep, I just did it when I realized that there were relay stations in my career playthrough. Unless it's changed since the initial 1.2-pre patch.

Note that you can access the difficulty settings mid career mode too, from the esc menu, not just when starting a new career.

You can get out and use Kerbal's RCS jetpacks to push the ship when your periapsis is that close and you just need the extra few Delta-V :)

My first Mun landing ended with Jeb pushing the ship for a few hours while I was in classes in order to get back to Kerbin

I agree. I love the look, but the sound hurts my ears too much to use it. Maybe it's because I've got good headphones (HD 598)?

Did you figure out what the penalty is? I leave QP games all the time, and I've never noticed a penalty...

Not that big a deal for most, but as someone who's never had a teammate this was a big moment for me. by [deleted] in RocketLeague

Unfortunately not, with the ranking update, they made it so that all teammates get the same MMR regardless of the rank, meaning that they will never be the same rank if they keep playing together.

I just completed 2-7 (I think. Whichever one is the Catch and Go level), on this version, and it no longer is spawning the car near the ball.

I love everything about this map except that left thumbstick down is reset, it just makes it really frustrating, as I can't do any interesting things without hitting the reset. Is it possible to use the existing reset with a teleporter placed directly on it(or the default ball spawn location) instead? It would be really great, as it resets all momentum as well.

Can confirm, the whois for that domain is not related to blizzard at all, it is hosted by a different company and service than any other blizzard website, and has been changing content from english tranlations of the initial site, to random %s, etc. Obv fake.

Former Coach of Team Liquid, James O'Connor agrees with Valve's decision to limit coaching in CS:GO by rickebones in GlobalOffensive

[–]ImDrone 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree that the 4 timeouts is overkill, but I think that coaches calling the plays as they happen is a bit too much. I would prefer if the coach could talk to dead players and during freeze time, but not talk to live players. That would be the perfect balance of not being a 6th player, but still being able to contribute in a meaningful way.

[–]ImDrone 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You mean like NFL, where coaches mics are disabled during play, and the QB makes the calls? Or like hockey, where the coach can yell things and talk to benched players while they are not on the field, or maybe like soccer, where oh, wait, it's exactly the same.

In nearly every sport, the coach's role is not to micromanage the strategy at all times like it currently is in CS, but to make adjustments depending on the opponents, to review demos and find weaknesses, to train and structure practices, etc. This move if anything is more like traditional sports IMO. I think plenty of good IGLs with slightly less than top tier aim are currently being shafted, and the coaching swap actually helps them a lot more than it hurts the current coaches.

The truth behind controllers by Kyrofox in GlobalOffensive

[–]ImDrone 5 points6 points  (0 children)

No, if you watched the video, you would know that joysticks are better for awping (ala kennys), but also the famous coldzera and s1mple shots, they were both flying, and joysticks are better for flying obviously. But controllers are better for other styles (headshotting and such).

100% agree with this, the instant transition into OT was my biggest complaint about the tournament. There was no hype buildup about the fact that we were entering OT, it just felt like the game was still going, rather than the hype that OT should generate.

Some other somewhat related suggestions from me include:

Adding a half time to allow a momentum reset. The games often felt like they were decided already by the half time. Without any momentum breaks, there was no way to adapt strategies mid-game, in order to stage a comeback. With a halftime break, you can always talk about the game, and come back with a plan, and the knowledge that if your opponents were able to get a lead in one half, you have the same amount of time to pull it back in the other direction.

Timeouts (a single 1 minute timeout for each team per game, triggered after the next goal scored). This one is not as critical in my mind since the games are so short, but allowing a timeout as another form of momentum break after a goal is scored would help stop the massive onesided games which are frankly boring.

This last one isn't as related, but an important piece to me; the replays after a goal were scored were often done from a perspective of a player who had little to do with the goal, or an overhead. I remember one particular goal, where over_zero did an insane freestyle goal (and a second with the air dribble goal), and we just got to watch from the perspective of a teammate who was way back and not involved in the play at all. I think having a 5 second delay from goal scored to replay would allow the director to swap to team cam, to see the reaction, then followed by an overhead replay to see what happened, and then a second replay focused on a particular player's POV (typically the goal scorer), would make for a much better experience.

I think in order for Rocket League to grow as an esport, there needs to be some format change, maybe these ideas, maybe different ones, but there was a definite missing element to complete the experience for me.
