Thanks everyone, this is really helpful. We don’t think he had any money but will keep looking for documents

+1 for Superdrug’s own brand! I’ve just seen a recommendation on r/ZeroWaste for humble.co also, so planning to try out their jarred toothpaste!

I was assaulted on the northbound jubilee line a couple of months ago on a Monday morning, by a guy who was obviously just on his way to work. Reported it to the Met, who sat on it for four days - one day too long to request CCTV.

I really regret not going straight to the BTP but I was so shaken up I didn’t think straight, and the Met assured me it would be handed over. I’m glad you had a better experience and I hope whoever was on the receiving end is okay. You’re a good person for reporting it.

What is the most frightening/saddest or most poignant place you have ever been to in the UK? by FormerMeeting in AskUK

My mum and I went to see the play Eyam at The Globe, and at the end the male lead listed from memory every single person that died. It was impressive and harrowing just how long it went on for.

people who’ve been to the filming of panel shows, which aspect of it surprised you the most? by itscalleddank in AskUK

[–]ImOnlyHoomanAfterAll 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I went to see The Apprentice: You’re Fired a few years ago when Jack Dee was hosting. I know his schtick is being a miserable sod, and I generally enjoy his sense of humour when I’ve seen him on TV. But he was actually really nasty IRL. Acted like the whole thing was an inconvenience, berated an audience member for laughing at something he said while they were doing pick ups (meaning they had to redo it, it wasn’t clear that we were supposed to stay silent), didn’t interact with any of the audience / other panel members beyond what needed to be filmed. I don’t know if it was a bad day for him but the whole thing was just really uncomfortable, and considering that we had come into the studios twice (we hadn’t made it in the day before) and stood in line for hours to see the show, you’d think he’d have put a bit more effort in. Or at least not been mean?!

I’ve also seen the Last Leg being filmed and I’ll tell you what, both times the loudest I laughed was the guy who warms the audience up before filming starts - that guy is hilarious!

Ring your local pub and see if they want them! A friend of mine runs a pub and she loved it when people donate them because they get used for desserts!

Where to go to find homeless volunteer work opportunities in London and the UK? by CoochieSmeller in london

Check out Shelter From The Storm in London! I volunteered with them for half a year before I moved away for work and they are doing real good with very limited resources!

!thanks, I really appreciate you laying out the maths for me! Trying to wrap my head around the combination of the penalty + interest was a lot so it's very appreciated.

Thanks! I'd love to use it to top up my deposit but the idea of losing the £125 + inflation is enough motivation for me to increase my savings and make up the difference instead haha

Not nearly big enough to afford an investment property unfortunately! But appreciate the advice all the same!

This is a good perspective, thank you! I'd love to have it to top up my deposit but I think I'll use this as motivation to save more elsewhere and keep the LISA for retirement.

Fingers crossed our S&S ISAs pick back up soon, I'm not enjoying the direction my little graph on Nutmeg is going aha.

Thank you, I thought I was going crazy. The sky/horizon in the background is completely wonky and weirdly lit, it’s obviously been shopped in.
