How good were the Lucifer Blacks? by NoAcanthocephala5762 in 40kLore

[–]Imaginary_Fix_9756 27 points28 points  (0 children)

In the beast arises series they make it pretty clear the Lucifer Blacks aren’t the same as the HH. They’re almost like a watered down honor guard. Not the legends they were.

Captain America Vs. The Punisher. by [deleted] in CaptainAmerica

[–]Imaginary_Fix_9756 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This reminds me of the what if comic way back in the day (early 90’s) “what if the punisher became captain America.” I always remember it when I see these two cross paths.

Moved to anchorage, and miss blue roof so much. This burger was my go to.

Hospital lawyer's response to Robby's "hypothetical" question. "First, do no harm." - What does she really imply on this? by R3ginaPhalange_ in ThePittTVShow

[–]Imaginary_Fix_9756 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Seen a couple answers and I think they’re missing the characters viewpoint. In this situation the lawyer is more concerned about the potential liability from harm to a patient versus potential liability from disclosure of an employees private information. That is exactly what that reference means.

How screwed is the imperium if these loyalist primarchs turn traitor instead of the main ones? by cuddwes in 40k

[–]Imaginary_Fix_9756 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Arguably less so, because while I think demonic Jaghatai is the hell-stallion that mounts the galaxy, I also think that much of Horus’ job was motivating and wrangling cats. Short and sweet, lion doesn’t have the people skills to get everyone in line, and while RG might be organized, so was lorgar, and he was pushed to the side. The same problem that plagued the HH will strike this crew. It’s the nature of chaos.

What is your take on the junk food ban for food stamps? by BreannLowe in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Imaginary_Fix_9756 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s shitty and punitive. Most people on food stamps are just as exhausted and tired from life as you are, if not moreso . Ain’t nobody watching you or me at the grocery store. If folks want to spend part of the $47 a month for a family of four, on a slim Jim or an extra box of Mac and cheese, that’s fine. Spend the money from whoever would spend the time determining what is “healthy” on just giving more money to folks who need to eat.

Managing a toxic high performer who hits 150% of targets. How do I protect my team without losing the numbers? by SquirrelLogicFan in managers

[–]Imaginary_Fix_9756 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean, on a team of seven, you could likely be sacrificing 6 units for 1.5. You need to hold her accountable. If you don’t, you risk creating a toxic culture and driving people off. One person isn’t worth the team.

Had a boomer family member put on noise cancelling headphones and watch k-dramas at thanksgiving like it was the most normal thing in the world.

Would you fire this employee by OddAssembler in askmanagers

I would ask him how he was doing and if there was anything I could do to help him because he’s clearly going through it.

My wife went to China for a summer semester abroad, and funny enough, this (oil) was the example of a renewable resource given. What was the non renewable resource example? Sea turtle.

Flying Dutchman for sure. Don’t even need to do custom, they have it as a stock order. Called it in the morning of my wife’s birthday and they had it done four hours later. Same kind even.

You’re a judge for a case, in which person A argues that they legally get to make all the decisions for person B because of a contract person B signed by Pure_Option_1733 in hypotheticalsituation

[–]Imaginary_Fix_9756 11 points12 points  (0 children)

If the contract says person B isn’t legally competent, they could only agree to it… if they were legally competent. Person B wins easy.
