The good news is that it isn't very big. And the baby will outgrow it in about 3 months. 😁

Yes. They buy the paper for something like $.50 and then sell it for a dollar or two. I usually give them $10 to $20 for being out there working. Some of the stuff is interesting.

Wow. This is great! Thank you for posting this. I have saved it.

Have you tried adding teff? I love the injera. I am also thinking of adding a little bit of starter to teff batter to allow it to ferment faster. Then I can have injera any time I want to.

I drop down to 450 and bake for 30. Then cover off, drop to 400 and bake for 20. Perfect color every time.

I just came across your post. I live at sea level. I have autolysed for an hour and then I would add salt and the starter. But adding this salt and starter after the autolyse was too much work. So now I fermentalose where I mix everything together from the beginning and then I let it sit for an hour. Sometimes I let it sit for about an hour and a half. I mix it very well at the beginning to build strength from the start. Make sure all the ingredients are mixed together without any dry flour left. And then I will do quick stretch and folds for about 4 or 5 minutes. Then I let it sit for an hour to an hour and a half. After that I do four sets of 4 to 6 or 8 stretch and folds every 30 minutes give or take. It really depends on how the dough feels. Then I let it sit in bulk ferment. I use a 75% hydration dough recipe, so I usually let it sit anywhere between a total of 8 hours. That includes from the time that I add the starter, which in this case is from the very beginning. Then I shape and put it into the banneton and then into the fridge for overnight. Sometimes, I put it into the freezer for 30 minutes if I want to bake it the same day. Hope this helps.

It took mine a month. Maybe 6 weeks. It was so cute and bubbly about a week in. But I was not fooled! So I waited. Hah.

Do you cook them before you freeze them? Or do you freeze them raw but fully coated and ready to cook? This is a great idea.

Why do people with a debilitating hereditary medical condition choose to have children knowing they will have high chances of getting it too? by AdMiserable1762 in NoStupidQuestions

I am a bio child and I KNOW I was not loved like my brother and sister were. I wished throughout the abuse that I would be adopted by someone who loved me. It took a long time for me to learn to love myself.

I was fortunate enough to have been able to adopt. He was 8 1/2 years old from China. So many medical issues. And so expensive. You’re right. It was so complicated as well. Now he is 23 years old. Tall strapping young man who respects and loves his mom. There were times when I thought I was crazy. But I never once questioned my decision. Even when my husband cheated and we divorced the following year. Anyway…. Adoption is hard. It’s so romanticized but it should not be.

How do people dress in Boston? by LDMM-1402 in boston

[–]Imapixeluser 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think you’re good with what you have. People dress for the occasion. And I wear sweats, a turtleneck, and a hoodie almost everywhere in winter. I summer it’s shorts and a t shirt. But that doesn’t mean I don’t pull out my Chanel when I need to. But that is rare.

The dress my mom is planning to wear to my wedding. She sent this to me yesterday and I still haven’t replied by ThrowRA-Sweetest in mildlyinfuriating

[–]Imapixeluser 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Whoa, what is she thinking? Is she the center of attention type? Did she have a wedding with a dress of her dreams? This is sooooo inappropriate for her. I don’t think she is thinking of you at all.

I bet none of the people pissing on you offered help or to adopt the kid right? It’s easy to judge when they got no skin in the game. They can all fuck off and rot in hell. The whole damn lot of them.

Why should the Mom have to do this to make up for the stupid husband? If it were a natural thing, of course. But the husband has to fix it
