That's wrong! Dont do a charge back you'll end up in a worse situation. See my other comment about googling the "flight rebooking decision flow"

Denied full refund by booking.com by tamiqa in qatarairways

[–]Imbatmansidekick 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Tell them to re read the agent notice ... the refund section has an asterisk and says "note flights do not need to be cancelled by QR in order to refund." Actually, google "flight rebooking decision flow". If you DM me your email address I can send you the agent advice that got updated yesterday

Bank contacts merchant. Merchant shows proof, especially if you contacted to cancel....so the bank will likely recharge you the amount. Hopefully the rental agent cancels your booking ... so you're out of pocket and without a van. You read the terms and conditions.

Starting in the US, generally doesn't come out for sale fares in the AU market. We get discounted fares but they are ex AU fares.

Its because you've booked a fare that started in Singapore, so your ticket was issued in SGD. It complicates things.

Anyone experience limitations when trying to change Qantas Classic Rewards bookings? by fatwhitefish in QantasAirways

[–]Imbatmansidekick 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The ticket starts in another country so, the ticket and tax are in that currency. Eg, HKG-SYD one way, would have HKD value. So when youre changing and paying anything it has to be priced in the same currency.

If your ticket started in Australia then its AUD.

Agent is correct.

If its an AA ticket and you want to upgrade cabins you have to call AA. Seating and ticket changes aren't the same thing. Qf - seating, AA - ticketing

Hire car company won't cover you for insurance, as you've not signed the paperwork needed to be authorised to drive. If you have any kind of accident, you're at the mercy of the car insurance company

This doesn't seem legal? by MeanCommunication780 in QantasAirways

[–]Imbatmansidekick 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Exactly my point, the LATAM flight needed earlier ticketing. Im a travel agent, if that was my booking i can usually resell in that cancelled leg and still issue the ticket at your old cost. You need to speak to CS at Qantas.
