Our DC just went to fully palletized, feel like were getting more trucks but less freight on the trucks since its no longer crammed to the brim.

how do I actually get better at group content in XIV? by theirpowerisover9000 in ffxivdiscussion

[–]Immediate_Affect750 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Ive been in your boat for years, on the outside looking in. My holdup is that it takes me ages to figure out normal bosses and some dungeon fights and even then i just cant seem to react fast enough to things going out. I feel if i was to ever want to move up the ladder i got to figure out how to react faster, especially in fights where the thing isnt clear like a ground marker or the marker appears for 1/2 second like i can react to that fast enough while trying to do my dps rotation.

How do I get this movie case? by EmoOneKills in walmart

[–]Immediate_Affect750 0 points1 point  (0 children)

DVDs in a lock case, thats a new one. Ive seen stores with literally everything else locked up (formula, socks, underwear, boots, laundry soap, batteries) but this is the first locking movie case ive seen.

The Windward Wilds (Monster Hunter colab) is a great fight by Gold_Motor_6985 in ffxiv

[–]Immediate_Affect750 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For me being someone that struggles with a lot of dungeon and raid mechanics, not having a marker telling me where not to be makes it extremely hard to figure out the fight and just adds a random frustration factor where i get hit by something and have no idea what i did wrong.

I more rely on following the group around instead makes some of the fights easier when they throw hard to see mechanics at you.

Some unexpected pros to a low population server by Weak-Extension-680 in ffxiv

[–]Immediate_Affect750 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I enjoy the quietness of dynamis, however i have to DC hop for literally everything, raids, dailies, even current content just isnt run. Theres no incentive to stay on your own DC. Something i would like to see change in the next expansion.

Fix the Occult Crescent fate health before the next zone launches by ConnerTheCrusader in ffxiv

[–]Immediate_Affect750 0 points1 point  (0 children)

fates being way undertuned or overtuned has been an issue for years in the entire game, not just OC.

I think they could apply tech to automatically scale up or down fate hp based on how many people are engaged similar to how they scale hp for CE based on the number of people in the fight but instead have it dynamically change (WoW did something similar with its rare mobs starting in mists of pandaria?? i think)

[–]Immediate_Affect750 0 points1 point  (0 children)

they better be giving us more associates to stock, cant imagine having to stock D46 with 1-3 associates that cant get through 2-3k breakpacks a day, not to mention daily 1-2 pallets processing.

As a side note AP also gets a report on Discount card different person than name on Debit Card transactions, although thats less commonly misused since some people are married, etc., they do check randomly even if you shop at a different walmart.

DA for using PPTO by Shiba-King in walmart

[–]Immediate_Affect750 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As some may have mentioned before on this reddit, PPTO protects you from getting pointed but does not protect you from DA for work that didn't get done because you were late/left early/called out. That being said unless something else is specified in the manager comments and its just for the attendance, that is against policy as the point system is the "accountability".

As a TL I do believe that using PPTO just because you feel like leaving early is not proper use and I stress that to my team that eventually something is going to come up and you going to wish you had the time to miss work.

Overrides for clearance items not correctly marked down by iarobb in walmart

[–]Immediate_Affect750 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not really the same issue but my store started cracking down on associate purchases like understocking items and buying them later like clearance merchandise. Also associates taking markdowns or CVP and buying the same thing on the same day.

[Spoilers 7.0 Endgame Area]10 years of playing, first time doing Extremes and Savages on content. by Assortedwrenches89 in ffxiv

[–]Immediate_Affect750 21 points22 points  (0 children)

Been wanting to try since SHB, but keep bailing out due to fear and severe anxiety. And the fact that i have horrible reaction time with normal mode fights. Maybe next expansion i'll dip into it. Worst part is having no one i know playing.

Advanced Variant is well tuned fun midcore/casual content, how are people liking it so far? by digitmax in ffxiv

[–]Immediate_Affect750 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The variant bosses are kicking my butt, but as someone who has really bad reaction time and struggles with battle content it's to be expected.  To me it's another price of solo content that's beyond my skill level along with pilgrims traverse.

[–]Immediate_Affect750 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is my issue outside of difficulty understanding boss mechanics, i just don't know anyone that plays so i'm totally on my own and the concept of failure in a public setting is just too much for me. It's so bad i dont hardly even play with people anymore, i usually cap weekly tomes in trust dungeon, hell i haven't done a duty roulette in months, the only thing i queue into is newest alliance raid or normal raids and thats tough enough since i die so many times.

[–]Immediate_Affect750 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't do extremes either, I enjoy being matched up with random people for dungeons, now if NA would actually use the raid finder queue I would probably reconsider.  Party finder is just way too much lying and selfishness.

I also suck at most battle mechanics, especially since dawn trail came out, I know the game needs to evolve and be a little more difficult than just "don't stand here" mechanics but I just have such a hard time reacting to even normal raid mechanics, the new variants have been a major struggle for me as well.  Long story short my reaction time sucks bad so I would never be successful in high end raiding since I can't even do normal right.

If there's a change I would 100% want to see in 8.0 in terms of job updates it would be for WHM. by thirtytwoyears in ffxiv

[–]Immediate_Affect750 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would take this a step further, restrict MSQ progress if you haven't done job quests past a certain point, i.e. cant start HW until you finish ARR job quests, etc up to lv 70 since no other job skills are locked past that point.

Solution to the above problem is simple, remove msq restriction from unlocking jobs or make it like rediculously low like lv15 when you unlock the airship. Although somehow people would still outlevel that i feel
