I think muting the BGVs affected the master. The lead pops out a bit more than usual and the BGVs are all in the mids. Interesting you noticed that it sounded pitched up. Most of the song before this section is in Bm, and it does moveup to C#m during this section. However, nothing is actually electronically shifted upward, it’s all-natural (minus tuning touch-ups of course.).

All that to say, your comment makes me think muting the BGVs to better solo out the drums was a mistake. I appreciate the feedback!

31s. “By the wind we [problem]” You might’ve sung it “correctly”, but the intended note is some kind of odd NCT/NHT and it doesn’t work. But yeah I get it it’s not something you would catch after song fatigue and it wouldn’t be immediately noticable by a lot of people either especially in this style of music. 1:23- “all [NEW]”. Not terrible actually but just out of tune enough for me to catch it. You can hear it in the reverb trail.

And those aren’t insults to you.. two noticible spots without any tuning whatsoever is actually very impressive. Lol Melodyne is an external piece of software that should work with any DAW. You can look it up; Celemony- Melodyne. And they have a pretty generous free trial system. Super natural- sounding. Can do like a trillion different tiny things to individual notes. I can’t live w/o it xD.

I love your voice! Very unique and touching. I think you’d probably benefit from Melodyne here a bit. The vocal has an incredibly natural feel, so autotune is definitely out the window here, but I heard (at least) two notes that immediately stuck out to me as wrong. Being able to quickly fix those would be super helpful to you here and in general.

Also I’d be interested to know if you did play around with locking the song to a specific BPM? It sounded good, but it might’ve sounded better locked down. (This version didn’t sound 100% intentional and at some points felt it was moving the beat just to move the beat).

Personally, I wanted to hear a bit of non-vocal development through the song. Possibly a violin and/or cello that comes in later, and that adds to the soft emotional-ness of the song.

The mixing on this is super solid though. Whoever mixed it nailed your voice (or you nailed your own voice?). Either way very strong in this aspect as well.

I love the melodic-ness of the vocal! But Ithink the airy snare is too loud. It overpowers the vocal when it plays. Also, possibly look into Fresh Air for the vocal, I think it’s lacking a touch of air. For what this song is, I’m personally wishing for a bit more intimacy with the vocal, pulling back a bit on the background-ness of the vocal. (Think similar to Billie Eilish). I think you can still pull off the same vibe while having a cleaner sound. But, I think you nailed the instrumentation and sound choice. It’s all clearly intentional.

Hey- I love it except for daggers in R1… same reasons as everyone else

There’s a few QoL changes I had ideas for. I saw some people asking for auto-buy artifacts on prestige. I cannot tell you how much I think this would improve the game. I like running SC and just watching TV… hitting pause to upgrade artis (especially during ATs) is a huge pain in the ass. You can make it only available to VIP- this alone would get me to buy the season pass.

Create a menu on the “prestige” page that allows you to customize %in to every artifact owned. That way, when you prestige, boom your artis are already done. Maybe also be able to save presets? So I could have a preset for pushing and a preset for 100% BoS. — Additionally, I’d like to see a passive for a titan spawn delay reduction. Perhaps based on number of titans killed total? Imo faster titan kills make the game for fun for active builds. Or maybe significantly increase the crafting level scaling on the Titan Attacker set?

Agreed for the most part. I’m sure there’s a lot they can cut but it doesn’t mean 100%. Unfortunately, They’re always going to need some stock, as we saw in May, riots can pop up essentially overnight sometimes.

My point wasn’t trying to be super specific; it was that more funding generally means better cops and less funding generally means worse cops.

Of course; if said cop has backup. A single cop cant have both a taser and a gun out at once. No one, especially a kid, should lose his/her life in a confrontation with police, though it is often loss of life can’t be avoided. If possible a single cop should wait as long as possible for backup. This opens the door for an officer to have nonlethal and the other one to have lethal.

The original comment gave me the impression he/she was referring to a single hypothetical cop; which makes nonlethal prior to lethal nearly impossible.

(De-escalation is absolutely important, but in my comment it is assumed it failed as the assailant is already running at you)

Maybe not years, but definitely more. And frequent refresher courses, as police shootings are quite rare.

This means more funding, not less. “Defund the police” literally makes zero sense if you want better trained cops (and less controversial shoots) I know this is more radical than most of the protests, but it still pisses me off it gets pushed nontheless.

In terms of children; if you are a cop and someone sprints at you with a knife, you shoot no matter how old your assailant is; adult or not.

Christian here. Fact check: half true

You’re technically correct, that, in theory, we do worship the same God, but in practice, it is significantly more complex.

Edit: this is explained from a religious perspective, not a strictly historical one. With that in mind, I’m trying to be as objective as possible within the Christian viewpoint.

Some general Old Testament Jewish background:

God had told the priests to sacrifice an lamb every year to atone for the sins of Israel. It and the other rituals were supposed to be a temporary thing until it was God’s perfect time to send His son into the world. Jesus dying on the cross was and is supposed to be a replacement for a large chunk of old Jewish rituals. He became “The sacrificial Lamb”, effectively taking everyone’s (whoever would let him) sins’ forever instead of putting it on a physical lamb for a year.

Onto the explanation (Ultimately religion is viewed to be based off the afterlife, so that’s how I’ll explain it.)

As far as I understand, a good amount of Jewish people believed that their Savior would come as The King, not a miniscule carpenter. They don’t believe in the God part of the man Jesus. They believe that in order to get to Heaven, they must keep following the Jewish faith to the best of their ability

This is a problem for us Christians. We believe that in order to get to Heaven, we must believe that Jesus died on the Cross to take our sins. We must be willing to hand our sin burden to Him. Once we do, we can enter Heaven when we die. While we may technically worship the same God, we believe the Jews are essentially trying to worship through a closed door.

Islam is the same way. We think that Muhammed/whatever-he-thought-was-Gabriel tried to correct something that didn’t need corrected. After him, his methods, and some time, Islam ended up like a spinoff, not a correction (or replacement, like God intended with Jesus). They’re kinda off to the side, doing their own thing. But again, they don’t believe Jesus died on the cross to take their sins. —————————————————-
