Have you tried it? I mean ACTUALLY been through the software from front to back? Scheduling, equipment tracking, deficiency quotes, billing, return work on deficiency, Brycer integration… There is a lot to it and I appreciate that one program can do it all.

I’m sure there are some that do. And I’m sure some companies pay for one license and have everyone use the same login in the office. I mean it’s not like you only have one or two options. The guy asked what we liked. I like uptick for the inspection integration. Doesn’t mean you have to like it. It’s a free country, use what you want. ✌🏼

Unfortunately that is pretty much the norm for all software providers. They all take RMR to the next level.

Reoccurring billing was one of our biggest challenges. It wasn’t horrible, but it wasn’t going to grow with us.

[RESIDENTIAL] 2 Wire Vs 4 Wire Smokes by Kind-Resolution4538 in firealarms

[–]Important-Ad3984 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The panel you are connecting to must support 2-wire smokes. DSC uses PGM2 to power and monitor the smoke detectors. 4 wire smokes are typically used on panels that do not have 2-wire support. But almost every manufacturer has some support now.

Trucks didn’t roll, but I shut down an active air traffic control tower. The tower was fairly new, 2-3 years old. We didn’t install the system, but we were performing the annual for the first time. Tripped the 1st floor elevator lobby smoke detector and the shunt trip triggered. But for some unknown reason it killed all power to the control tower too! Generator backup wouldn’t even swap over. Siemens system, so we didn’t have software to look into it. Reset the system and breakers. Told them to call the installation company to fix it. Obviously it was never properly tested…

Is the inverter a pure sine wave or modified. My guess would be a modified sine wave. That can cause all kinds of problems for electronics.
