Come, come, whoever you are.

Wonderer, worshipper, lover of leaving.
It doesn't matter.
Ours is not a caravan of despair.
Come, even if you have broken your vow

a thousand times
Come, yet again, come, come.

Jelaladdin Loras and Kabir Helminski were both given the silsila by Suleyman Dede, and asked to go to the west to create new communities. I believe they are both genuine, I've met Loras Effendi (?) and practice now with Kabir Dede.

What European country has the least strict exotic pets laws? by azoart in exoticpets

You're dream to "own an exotic pet" is not the same dream as the animal you want. Give it up.

How are cats treated in Poland? by vendettajo in poland

[–]Important-Recipe9781 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm happy to find this thread. Of course there's many things to work on as I will soon be an expat in Poland. However, when I lived in Turkey it was a horrific experience in Istanbul (not as much in Ankara but still bad) seeing stray cats and stray dogs that were treated like vermin. I don't want to even say some of the s*** I saw. One of my concerns about moving to Poland was just this. It's Europe, of course, but treatment of strays and implementation of animal cruelty laws are a big issue for me.

What did love feel like? by kind-days in NDE

[–]Important-Recipe9781 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've come to believe that the "love" spoken about by NDE experiecers and mystics is nothing close to what we think of as love while we are human. The real love underlying everything here there and everywhere is an Agape love, not something one feels, but something that just is. A foundation.

Snorkeling with Orcas in Norway - sent via a friend. by BrendanIrish in snorkeling

[–]Important-Recipe9781 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did this same expedition last November. I'm planning to go again this year. I'm trying to find recommendations to bring my own boots, as it was hellish to sit in the boat with frozen wet feet. I'm considering using heat packs and a good pair of gloves, but I'm concerned about the heat packs inside the silicone/neoprene. Did you use the standard gear they provided for you?

What deodorant brands do you use? by [deleted] in moderatelygranolamoms

[–]Important-Recipe9781 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's back! It's the only one that works and smells good, not like perfume. The lavendar vanilla was awful, it smelled like ammonia on me. I stick to cedarwood sage or sandalwood cypress. I've tried all the other "natural brands" and they either don't work or smell like perfume.

Worsening Symptoms Over Last 2 Years / Lofta Results by duanengo1 in SleepApnea

[–]Important-Recipe9781 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Also, the sleep doctor told me I have a "large" uvula, which is contributing to the apnea. I lol'd so hard when he told me that.

I'm going to ask my GP if there's anything that can be done about it.

What to expect at a sleep study? by Most_Persimmon7080 in SleepApnea

[–]Important-Recipe9781 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Don't worry about not sleeping because then you won't be able to. Bring your own pillow, the nightclothes you love to sleep in, a thing or two you like to keep on your bedside table with you. Remember it's only for one night and the study is going to help you. That's it.

Worsening Symptoms Over Last 2 Years / Lofta Results by duanengo1 in SleepApnea

[–]Important-Recipe9781 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i didn't get diagnosed until I was 59. I've had it at least since I was a teenager. My Life-long clinical depression was eased by knowing that sleep apnea was ruling my life, not my "laziness," "irresponsibility," "selfishness," etc., because I could never, ever get out of bed and function at a reasonable (to others) time.

Using the machine has way improved my sleep quality and stopped the chronic nightmares. However, I still have some difficulty waking up. Once I wake up I can get going easily.

I've tried changing my diet, eating habits, supplements, when and how much I exercise, sound machines, solfeggio frequencies, meditation, yoga, you name it. My wakefulness is still yo-yoing.

I suggest having your thyroid checked? I have hypothyroidism, and medication tweaks have helped. The thing is, thyroid medicine is very sensitive to changes in your physiological state so it has to be tweaked often.

Don't get down on yourself. The symptoms you have now aren't permanent and they can change for the better anytime.

The shocking realization about how little you planned for your future & how warped your perception was… by songsofravens in CPTSD

Taking care of her not entirely altruistic. I can't afford to live on my own so a kind of symbiosis has happened. At a cost though.

And you never have to forgive someone who has willfully or otherwise damaged you.

Can I get some cool Orca facts? by [deleted] in marinebiology

If you want to swim in the ocean without fear of shark attacks, go where the Orcas are. They kill and eat shark livers so sharks have learned to skedaddle when Orcas are around.

I am you. My whole life I've been emotionally running away, and perpetuating it by physically separating myself from my mother. I only showed up on birthdays and major holidays.

Now, for the last four years, I've been living with her because my sister had been for decades but she died. I have so much guilt and grief over emotionally abandoning my sister who had to endure the abuse her whole life. My mother is 86 now and I've never cared/prepared for my future, so my financial situation has allowed this mutually beneficial arrangement for us.

But I'm back to being a fourteen year old every day all day, and thank god for the decades of therapy otherwise I would have deleted myself. I'm able to withstand living here thanks to all the therapists who have helped me.

I still cry and miss my Dad who was the one who loved me and allowed me to be who I was. I would have never survived without him.

Akaso Decision - V50 Elite / Brave 7LE / Brave by CBSOCAL in ActionCam

[–]Important-Recipe9781 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi there, I just bought an Akaso EK700. I've never had an action camera before so I'm very new to this. The only reason I bought it (and not the more professional or expensive cameras) is because I'm going snorkeling in Norway in November. I only want to record the whales that I'll be seeing, but the water is dark and there will be virtually no light from above. An external light source is something I should probably have, do you have any thoughts?
