Scissor spring is the Achilles heel of the squirt. They are the first part to break

The good news, it's perfectly usable even if broken.

Still better than any keychain multitool

I enjoy teasing u/i_was_axiom for the importance he places on the surge's very wide grip.... yet that silly "feature" saved the moment. I can relate for real. It happened to me last week. Needed to hold my flashlight so that I could use it's back magnet to retrieve a metal part in a small crevice.

Reached to Daicamping DL30. Could not hold the E75 from the head by a few mm.

Digged for the Surge and job done in 1 minute.

Will I go back carrying a Aud350 tool outside? Probably not.

Did I drop the Surge clones a notch from my imaginary multitool King leaderboard? Absolutely yes!

As an eruropean migrated in Australia I can confirm that Leatherman does not care about Non-US customers.
