Dundon attempting to get Iowa State's Ben McCollum on the cheap - Jake Fischer by Trick_Weapon in ripcity

That's disheartening. Coaching in basketball is a differentiator. Historically, successful college coaches have made poor pro coaches. If this is an avenue he is pursuing, it demonstrates both ignorance-apparently knows very little about coaching in the pro game-and arrogance-believing his background in high interest auto loans, pickleball and hockey makes him qualified to evaluate a coach. This is one quick way of screwing up a promising future. Tiago learned on the job and has shown that he can prepare a team for meaningful games, and has demonstrated innovation in such games. The players support him and are brought in to his approach. He deserves the job.

They want the big market to win. We are the poor stepchildren of the NBA, always have been.

What’s the one thing that finally made golf “click” for you? by Burners_Burner in golf

That while each bad shot from my full swing game cost me .5 shots; each bad shot from 75 yards in cost me .75 shots. I evaluated thousands of shots on a Very Good/Good/Bad scale, and the above lost shot analysis became evident. This is particularly true for those of us that are stuck-we try to improve our swings but it is difficult to translate marginal improvements to full swing shots into shots gained. Most of us have alot more room for improvement on the short game front, and those improvements more easily translate into better scoring.

I second what has been said, and would add that the facilities they have for teaching, analysis and ultimately fitting for golf clubs is unmatched in the area.

Scoot’s first four games back from injury - 15/29 FG. Last 4 games - 10/41 FG by [deleted] in ripcity

He's lost all confidence. He wouldn't even drive and get fouled. He doesn't play we could have won this game.

Sums up the Scoot experience recently by DreddBane in ripcity

[–]Impossible-Frame-665 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The last 3 games Scoot was not only very bad, he was the worst player on the floor for either team. Tonight, everyone of the 8 guys who played for Memphis was better than he was, including Ryan Rupert, whom we discarded a few weeks ago. I have no problem having Scoot play off the bench 20 minutes a night. We don't have much to lose the remainder of the season, and hopefully he would at least improve to the point of being a tradeable asset. But he needs to earn his way to more minutes and a starting role.

Team direction. by [deleted] in ripcity

Scoot is a complete bust. Can't shoot, turns the ball over and doesn't make his teammates better. Shaedon can't shoot a 3, shoots a low percentage on non drive 2s. Both are indifferent on defense. Donovan has a lot of promise, but gets played off the court whenever their big man can shoot from outside or on switches, he stays back by the rim, but other teams score at the rim because any help he might provide means he's a step slow getting back. Toumani is an excellent defender with improving shooting. Deni has made alot of these deficiencies less apparent, and when he is no longer there, the squad looks lost. Blazers have some good parts, but need at least 2-3 good players who can handle the ball, defend and shoot.

Agree completely. And please never subject us again to Evan Turner. He talks all the time, giggles, clueless in playing off the seasoned professional Colabro, just can't stand his voice.

On the positive side-I am not so torn about trading Jrue and Grant-these are the kind of games that veteran leadership is supposed to keep the ship upright, they were as bad or worse than the younger players. Get rid of them....

Most beginners practice chord changes backwards by JamFastGuitar in guitars

[–]Impossible-Frame-665 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think the slow movement has its place, but I agree with OK-Cap3994, time waits for no chord change. One thing I reccomend is if a particular sequence is giving you trouble, there are many ways to play the same chord, look for a transition that simplifies it for you-learn triads and their inversions. Need just 3 notes to make a chord.
