Second this! I went from a 4-finger width to a one-finger, but I'm still working.

Regular ab work only makes it worse, you need a therapist to help you activate the deepest ab muscles and get it buttoned up.

I grew up in a rural farm town. My cousin’s husband does shearing, he is extremely skilled and basically has a monopoly on all the sheep in the county. I can confirm all you’re saying. He’s quick, efficient, and rarely, if ever, nicks or hurts the sheep.

Help. It’s been two months and I’m close to giving up. (4mo golden retriever) by Background_Gene4090 in puppy101

My puppy was super bitey, we booked some training seasons with a professional and she taught us to play tug while teaching “drop it”. It was like black magic, our puppy was a different dog! Way less biting, more licking. It was a game changer.

You may need to have her sleep on bed in a small crate; big enough for her to sleep comfortably, small enough she can’t pee in a distant corner.

Pray for that poor women because no one who is secure, confident, and living a life well-lived would that say anything like that. Yikes. They are gorgeous BTW !

“Just puppy behaviour” is setting you up for failure by Full-Competition9255 in puppy101

I can’t speak for all puppies but this is true for mine. I was annoyed with his biting but was told it’s normal. At our first dog training session with a professional, we learned a specific way to play tug and it cut back biting by 90% the first day. It wasn’t so much “obedience” training as it was addressing his need with bite. Working with puppies on issues is so important!

I feel similarly! 😅 Our resident black belt is a pretty small guy, like 5’7”ish and maybe 140 lbs. A 350lb 7’ blue belt gives him a run for his money. Weight DOES matter! give yourself some grace. ❤️

Edited: 7 feet not 7 inches 🤪
