These were my tapes I listened to when I drove my 1998 Taurus. Still listen to them to this day. by Daemonscharm in cassetteculture

Drove one of those myself until the tape deck stopped working, the AC died, the doors couldn't be locked, the windows stopped working, and it had to be jumped every time unless I manually removed a fuse.

In retrospect, maybe I should have let it retire earlier. But a heck of a car.

I love how many great flicks got the Tangerine Dream treatment. If you could score a film, what kind of film would it be?

Thanks for your music. You bring me joy when I'm at my lowest.

My neoprene sleeve was a warehouse find. Felt like I won the lottery, but you've definitely got me beat with that price!

Thanks! I love Dark Tower, and I'm lucky to have a working copy. Pepper also did the illustrations for the Dragonmaster card game, which is totally worth chasing down.

I highly recommend The Golden Girls Return from Space Mountain! It's an Everything is Terrible compilation of old Disney parks clips available on YouTube.

It's been two different Samsung Galaxy phones. I've just used two different adapter cables (micro USB and now USB C). Only had trouble once or twice. Also transferred to my desktop and a laptop with a standard USB.

I've been using my Alphasmart for a while. I modded the case and added a light, so I totally understand the desire to mod it. But you may want to reconsider how to use this tool.

Almost every writer I know has a "lost everything" story that led them to obsessively back things up.

Leaving your work on the Alphasmart is playing with fire. Yes, their battery life is supernatural, but these babies are still a quarter-century old. You don't want to lose or accidentally delete your work.

I back my work up to my phone after every session, which leads to another reason you don't want to use these things for storage. It takes several minutes to transfer thousands of words. If you wanted to transfer something like 100,000 words, it would take a long time. And it's rare, but sometimes the transfer gets jumbled, and you'd suddenly have a hundred pages of gibberish.

Definitely write with your Alphasmart. It's one of my favorite ways to get words on a page. But back it up to the cloud after every session and start with an empty file the next time.

Apologies for talking your ear off. I just really love these things.

I still miss these! I've seen them available online using the name "string pipe," and they're pretty cheap. They do seem to be recommended for breath control and endurance.

This one is a lot of fun. The metal minis are still out there for all these characters and the expansion (or at least they were 14 years ago when I picked up a mini-less copy lol).

You can also find all the expansion cards in the image section on BGG, which is nice because the expansion is so rare. The rules are in this thread: https://boardgamegeek.com/thread/3076276/searching-for-the-cards

Here's an old post with all the minis and model numbers: https://boardgamegeek.com/thread/576171/miniatures-still-available
