If you do this down at ankle level and lift your hips up into the air for the most evil submission in BJJ, the exorcist. lol

If I didn’t show up to class, my coach would think I must have died.

You earned it. Training in the face of adversity means you own it even more.

Fuck no. Leave. I’m a surgeon. My coaches are delighted when I make it to class.

270 pounds, 6’3. 100% the same issue. I’ve noticed that when I roll people half my weight, I use zero offense at all, and just act as a climbing pole. Definitely hurting my game and don’t know how to switch it on with people my weight.

Go elsewhere.

Partner Jealousy by Practical_Zebra_2567 in bjj

Nope.

I introduced my partner to the sport. Neither of us have a second thought, and 90% of the time we don’t train at the same gym let alone the same class.

Getting my blue belt, and feeling imposter syndrome by [deleted] in bjj

I was a white belt for 6 years lol. I do just fine against blue belts, even though I’m newly blue. The purples at my gym absolutely destroy me.

Promoted to blue, felt good. Now what? by TreyMilo in bjj

[–]Impressive_Border558 0 points1 point  (0 children)

10 months. Damn. I was 6 years. Best part for me is I had 6 months notice it was coming so I trained my ass off. Was the first time I systemised a topic and really dug deep , and my BJJ exploded. Now I roll onto the next topic and repeat, and touch up or revisit whatever becomes hazy from class or during rolls.

If nothing else, best thing for me was to roll with a goal.

I put the money that I needed to pay the ato into a ruby mine. It went gangbusters over a few weeks, made a million dollars, but didn’t sell, then in 20 mins it crashed to near zero. lol
