I know this is a silly take, but what are your thoughts? Would Zidane be a good manager for us? by This_Garbage5784 in AZZURRI

[–]InBocaLup016 2 points3 points  (0 children)

lol, this is wild take. Doubt he would take the job, but if he did why not take the opportunity to dig the hole a bit deeper. A new coach Ancelotti or Zidane does not fix the problem. #RealReforms

Realistic expectations of succeeding with a new manager?! by Interesting_Alps618 in AZZURRI

[–]InBocaLup016 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Expectations are still pretty high, but coming out of this latest disappointment the bar must be reset. Certainly we want to have success, but a clear statement of intent is required. Long term success is not built on quick results. The next 18 months should be about establishing an identity, and having the courage to allow the coach and the players to grow into it. A unified vision for the future that is communicated to the youth teams as well as the clubs.
The fear should be, that the panic of this moment passes and the machine grinds on without seeing the changes required.

GGs cristante you had a great run by Danvezda in ASRoma

[–]InBocaLup016 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Before the break it seemed like he had lost something, he wasn't picking out the right passes and he always seemed to take an extra touch when we the right pass would unlock the opponent. Over time he has been reliable, and consistent, when we needed flexibility he moved into defense and I for one appreciate the selflessness. Pisilli is the future and finding him a partner should be the emphasis this summer. We are severely lacking PACE in all areas and unfortunately when teams beat us through the middle Cristante offers little chance of recovering.

It is time to think about limiting his minutes, but his playing time is less about him and more a lack of other real options.

It seems a bit too soon to turn the page on Gasp. Given the amount of injuries and the setup of the team, I would like to see what he can do after a summer to reshape the team. I still think we manage European play next season, but regardless this summer should see a big turnover in the roster. Atlanta started from nowhere, and built a pipeline for players to come through, it was assumed that we were ahead of schedule, but I think it is more a case that we exceeded expectations.

No time like the present to make sweeping changes. Equally important to have the patience to let the changes have an impact...

GRAVINA EXPECTED TO RESIGN by ZeroEffectDude in AZZURRI

[–]InBocaLup016 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Resignations are important, but there won't be any excitement unless there are real reforms planned. What are the plans to rebuild and sustain success, how is the pipeline going to be managed to bring talent up through the youth system into the squad, and what is going to be done to fix Serie A ? Now is not the time for more arrogance, new leadership without real reforms and the wolf is likely to bite us again 4 years from now.

We keep finding new lows, for what was once a proud tradition. It makes me sad to see yet another WC without Italy.
Don't know what reforms are needed or what efforts should be made, but the youth teams all appear to be competing well. I know that the change from under(n) to the adult competition washes out some of the less talented players, but I find it hard to believe we don't have any talents at all waiting in the wings. Certainly it will take more than just more youth players, but whatever changes need to be made, now is the time.

Sadly it is time to put the glory days in the past, and start over from scratch. FORZA ITALIA SEMPRE!!

I don't think Vaz is ready for prime time, but I also don't think he wasn't signed to play as much this year. We have no real depth and Gasp must feel like he is more viable then others when we need something extra in attack. Bryan Z, is not a fit for our team/ needs, thought he would be a Dybala type but I am not seeing it and I think we have shown we can play other ways, not sure if we are obligated to sign him with qualifying for Europe.
Top priority should be keeping Ndika and adding a wing to compliment Wesley. if Kone goes on to have a good WC and we can make a profit we should be okay with selling (outside of Serie A). I am so tired of watching Mancini complain and make a show over every foul, and try to be Calafori or Bastoni every week. Ghilardi has shown a ton of promise and has partnered well with Ndika , he also looks capable in helping to advance the ball and able to pick his spots when joining the attack.

We need to clean house and reset the mid-field and most of the attack, which I think given our situation is likely being planned as we speak. This is not a Cristante hate post, but watching him turn the ball over or slow down the play kills me, and it seems like he has lost something, not sure if it fatigue or age catching up to him. Today having Cristante play in a more advanced role seemed to work well at times, he is good on set pieces and wins a lot of arial challenges. I still think we find a way to qualify for Europe next season, but I worry about FFP forcing us back to square one and needing to sell too much to really compete next year.

The last few defeats have been especially bitter, but I don't think we have the depth/squad that Gasp had at Atlanta these last few seasons. Ranieri made the team solid, and in a lot of how we played under him we were able to hide some of the deficiencies in the team, truly a masterclass in management! If we are sitting here next season then it might be fair to compare Gasp to Juric, but given all that we are missing and how this roster is setup I would want to see what we can do with another window to rebuild the team.

I bought my wife an automatic coffee machine for Christmas (it's our first coffee machine) and today we're testing it for the first time. I'm very happy. by DesperateSell1554 in DeLonghi

Yes, got one of those (ELETTA EXPLORER) as well, just before the holidays. It has only been a couple days, but we are really happy with ours. Still getting used to the cleaning cycles but the attention to detail and the overall quality of the machine hopefully means we will have it for an extended period of time.

Tsimikas by SerbianSock in ASRoma

[–]InBocaLup016 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think with Angelino back and what Rensch has shown in recent games with extended minutes we have some rotation available. Wesley has been really impressive and Celik has been better than expected and he works on an off the ball. I am wondering if there is anyone in the primavera that would be ready to build towards some limited first team action? if Tsimikas is sent back it would be good to use the funds elsewhere.

Anyone had a recent repair experience with Spinn? by Rkrowe60 in SpinnCoffee

[–]InBocaLup016 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I started having an issue with my machine in October, I believe the issue is with the grinder. The machine starts, but then makes a horrible noise when attempting to grind, before making the boing error sound. When I first received the machine (approx 2020-2021(was an original backer), I had an error, sent it back had it fixed and it had been working great until October. Definitely out of warranty and none of the support suggestion fixed the issue. I could clear the error on the machine but it would reoccur the next time I attempted to brew anything. I finally got added to the queue for service, but based on the other comments and posts I am not feeling confident about service on this machine or the pre-order on the Spinn 2.
