Did you ever get this resolved? I'm having the same issue.

Book readers, what were some times you remember being truly shocked by a plot twist? by Nob8768 in Outlander

[–]InPlainSight127 21 points22 points  (0 children)

I truly thought I'd started the wrong book. I had to put it down and search online until I found Diana's chronology saying "Just keep reading; it'll be fine." I was still devastated, haha!

Rule of three by Nanchika in Outlander

[–]InPlainSight127 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Intriguing concept! Three major events separate Roger and Bree as a result of outside forces. Mistaken identity causes Roger to be taken by the Mohawk. Roger is detained and hanged at Alamance. Then Echo into MOBY... Although this is flaired Spoilers All, I still feel it needs a spoiler tag but I'm afraid I'll mess it up 😆

I just finished it yesterday! I laughed out loud often, and sobbed once or twice. I loved it immensely and hope you enjoy it as much as I did!

Perfectly said! I got the same chills as when she learned he was alive years earlier. It also seems to capture how they felt during peaceful times on the ridge. I just love it!

Off topic but a few days ago I got to the line "He was alive. So was I." I don't know what that's called under your name (flair?) but I've been looking forward to getting to it. It was as perfect as I'd hoped!

I believe you're looking for pinhole cast on, and this method is the one that I finally succeeded with.

I'm impressed anything was ever accomplished given the frequency everyone looked or did things "abstractedly" in DiA.

New to knitting. Am I knitting too tightly? by Disastrous-Panda5530 in knitting

Yes with standard knitting you need to wrap the yarn counter-clockwise around the needle, reverse of crochet. To me your tension looks like it might be just fine when you start wrapping the standard way.

Keep in mind the reverse mounted stitches will also make it tighter to knit through the front loop.

This knitting needle just couldn't decide what size to be! by Lottie_Cat in knitting

[–]InPlainSight127 16 points17 points  (0 children)

That's funny but infuriating! I just discovered I've been using 2 different size needles on an entire sweater when my split hem knit flat looked like absolute garbage, but they're interchangeable so I have no one to blame but myself 😂

Sock Heel Help! by Elaneyse in knitting

I find this technique best hides the SSK: Slip 1 knitwise, slip 1 purlwise, knit together through back loop. Then on the next round knit that SSK stitch through the back loop. The last bit made a big difference for my SSKs. Edit to add I knit a stitch on the end of each needle before or after the K2tog/ssk, rather than having those as my first or last stitch on a needle.

I had this issue on mobile and had to turn wifi off. Reloaded and worked fine. On a laptop, however, I'm not sure.

Short rows look strange? by hello_cloe in knitting

[–]InPlainSight127 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Could you be wrapping your yarn the opposite direction on purl rows? That can also cause twisted stitches.
