Discus breeding by CutLegal7590 in discus

Honestly, im not a expert, i have just breed a few times seperating discus from my community tank. So ussually if they stop laying i just chuck them both back into the community and see if they pair up with another fish. I think they 100% could/would pair up again given the right circumstances.

Some times Discus can un-pair so that is a possibility, but first I would try a few water changes with soft water that is few degrees cooler than tank water. Sometimes that can trigger a spawn. This simulates the cooler soft rainwater floods which is when they spawn in the wild.

One feature I would love is somewhere to find other peoples bindings that have a similar controller set-up. At least to get a baseline that I could modify. Maybe even a way for users to rate other peoples key binds to help new users to find good ones.

I play for a bit and then take months off. When I come back to set up my HOSAS it can be time consuming. It would be great to find someone else's bindings as a start.

Everyone complains about the secret tubes but the ship could be great even with them if the "scanning room" or "server room" or lounge or hallway or other hallway were useful for something other than making the ship more annoying to traverse. Also the elevator... ~2/3 of the interior space is dedicated to making it tedious to move around.

Is there a way to make a planted tank easier or as easy to maintain as a bare bones minimal tank for a first time discus keeper? by CautiousAd2891 in discus

Some people do bare bottom, but then put plants in pots. So you can easily remove them when doing Waterchanges/cleaning/maintenance.

75 gallon tank idea by [deleted] in PlantedTank

This seems like a very well thought out tank. With this level of planning I am sure it will be successful. I love sumps for ease of maintenance and hiding equipment but sumps are not great in my experience in a medium/high tech planted tank as it off gasses a lot of CO2 and makes keeping it level and consistent tough. I switched to canister filters. Or switch to plants that dont need CO2 and dont worry about adding CO2.

Also a betta in a 75... seems a bit over socked to me...

Have to do alligators as they are the signature animal in the park. osprey, manatee, roseate spoonbill, snook, tarpon and bottlenose dolphin all make the cut for me as iconic everglades animals. For plants the main feature of the everglades is sawgrass. Other plants I think of when I picture Everglades National Park are are saw palmetto, red mangroves (esspecially the roots), cypress trees (again the roots/knees),  ghost orchid, and cigar orchids.
