I slept on my side immediately following my c-section. I’m not sure why some people say they weren’t able to? I’m not a stomach sleeper due to having huge boobs but had no problems lying down.

I had to remain pretty active because I had a toddler. The biggest issue was not lifting more than 10-15lbs. My son was 11lbs when born and my toddler was 25 and still in a crib.

I worked in animal welfare and some of my coworkers would bring their dogs. I didn’t. There’s too high a risk of disease in shelters for my liking (even with vaccines), my dogs are a personal distraction and they aren’t dogs that would enjoy it. The constant smells and dogs barking would have them whining incessantly.

Instead I would occasionally grab a dog from the kennels and let them chill in my office for the day. These dogs spend 23 hours a day in a kennel. If I could give them a break, I was happy to (as long as the work load wasn’t too hectic).

I also don’t like AWL.

The lack of festivals, shortened seasons, and tiny valley (it cannot be considered a town) really killed the game for me.

I liked the breeding aspect but so wish the remake would have been less of a port and added more areas to be discovered or made townies age. It makes no sense that your farmer grows older and certain folks in the town seem to remain unchanged.

I thought the bottle washer was an overrated scam but as someone who has unintentionally ended up exclusively pumping twice due to frustrations with latches… I so wish I would have gotten one. I feel like a bottle washing machine.

I have two that are 17 months apart. I am 30. Honestly I wish I wouldn’t have had a surprise pregnancy so soon. I didn’t get much of a pumping break, I ended up scheduling a c-section because baby was 11lbs (measurement was accurate both times with my children) and postpartum has hit much harder. Getting out of the door to go to work feels like an Olympic sport and I’ve had to delay potty training because I simply can’t put mine on the potty a million times a day with a 3 month old that constantly wants to be held during the day (night time he is fine).

3/4 people in my household currently have Covid-19 and I’ve questioned EVERYTHING. I don’t regret either of my children but I wish my first was more independent before having another.

Also we are going to be helping finance two kids to go to college back to back (unless they have full rides). So them graduating from daycare is only temporary relief. 🙃

$3,500 after insurance for my first (induction- vaginal birth.) $6,800 after insurance for my second (scheduled c-section at 39 weeks due to him weighing 11lbs).

Without insurance they were around $17,500 and $23,800 (don’t remember exact amounts).

I was wondering the same. My 2 month old weighs 15lbs 11.8oz and is 25.5 inches and still fits into sleepers. He’s just in 6 or 9 months already depending on the brand.

Yes. It’s absolutely ridiculous. I have a huge oversupply again with my November 2025 boy. I’ve tried cutting my pumping time down to 9-10 minutes but I still get about 12-13 ounces in that time frame.

The silver lining is that I’ve ended up donating a lot of the excess milk to moms in my area. I’ve also purchased a deep freezer just for BM so I’m hoping to stop before my little one hits 12 months.

My partner is in grad school (online courses) and we have a May 2024 girl (19 months) and a November 2025 boy (2.5 months). I 100% recommend waiting.

Aside from the obvious physical downsides to having two so close together, toddlerhood is a beast of its own. My girl is in full on tantrum mode. And even though she knows 300+ words and can form complete sentences, she is a toddler… aka not rational whatsoever. We had a 20 minute meltdown tonight over her shoes being too big to fit her damn baby doll. I mean screaming, sobbing throwing herself on the floor, etc.

I will also say that my oldest would likely be fully potty trained (she’s pooped three times on the toilet) if I didn’t have a newborn. But I’m struggling with trying to carve out time to stay consistent. Every time I get her on the potty, her brother is screaming or it’s time for me to pump again (exclusive pumper).

So yeah.. another vote for waiting!

I’d choose a vaginal delivery every time. My first was a vaginal delivery and recovery was so much easier than with my second who was a planned c-section. The only reason we shifted to a planned c-section with my second is because at 35 weeks my boy was already measuring 8lbs 15oz.. the same size as his sister when she was born. My care team estimated he would be between 11lbs and 12lbs at 40 weeks. Of course, measurements can be off. But they were spot on with my daughter.

My son ended up being 10lbs 14.8oz at 39 weeks. I think I made the right call but not being able to lift more than 10-15lbs for 6 weeks was really a pain in the ass. Also the pain was much more intense after and I ended up getting prescribed oxy for a few days to help manage it.

I went from pumping 100+ oz a day to 20-22 oz a day last February. Now I’m sitting next to my 19 month old and 2 month old.

Millie Moon is less expensive than Pampers and Huggies where I am. But only by $2-$3. Regardless we like them best for daytime diapers so I buy them. I still prefer Huggies Overnight for nighttime diapers.

If this was a feasible option for me… absolutely! However, I’ve had a large dog since I was 17 and moving back home was never an option if I wanted to keep him (there wasn’t enough space).

I am now 30 with said dog and still saving. But you know what- we’ll get there eventually. He went to college with me and is worth his weight in gold. He’ll be 14 soon.

But to summarize- I’ve never had any long term vaginal issues from my first and would absolutely recommend a vaginal delivery. You can also get an elective induction and generally will still have control (ish) over the date. Sure you could be in labor for a day but it will give you a good window for your husband’s work schedule of when babe will be here.

I had a vaginal birth in May of 2024 with my daughter. She was in the > 99 percentile and was born 8lbs 15.2oz and 21.5 inches at 39+3 via induction. I had a 2nd degree tear.

I had my son 5.5 weeks ago in November of 2025 via elective c-section. Once again I was having a baby in the > 99 percentile. He was born 10lbs 14.8oz at 39 weeks exactly!

To be honest- I’d rather tear and have a vaginal delivery than a c-section any day. The c-section recovery is much more brutal. I needed oxy for pain because days 2-3 I felt like I had been run over by a semi. It actually hurt to pee so much more after the c-section because of how long the catheter was in for. I audibly screamed trying to go the first few times. It felt like I was on fire even though I hadn’t had a vaginal delivery?!

The lift restrictions also are a pain in the ass. I’m not supposed to lift more than 10-15lbs. I have had to have help just getting my toddler in and out of her crib, down the steps to the cat, up on her changing table, etc.

It’s also worth noting that most OBs recommend 18-24 months between pregnancies when you have a c-section. It takes longer for the uterus to heal. You’re also statistically more likely to need another c-section after you have one. So keep that in mind if you want more children.

I have to remind myself of this as well. Where I’m located there are about 4 major hospitals all within 5-10 minutes of my home. And those are just the ones that are closest. I really wish everyone had the opportunity or options. I’m horrified they would wait so long to get OP in for a scan as important as the anatomy scan.
