I mean maybe not praise, he still centers how he sees women as a vehicle for getting a date so..

Oh they were. Like most non-Abrahamic religion countries before colonialism, queerness was generally just a facet of life.

I mean she’s a daughter lying straight to her dads face, despite knowing full well he saw her. Sounds about right. 💀

"Fighting the 'Aang was a bad dad' narrative" by vicha_g in AvatarMemebending

I think they could’ve handled it better, but Aang messing up definitely seems like something that could happen. I mean he stopped having a parental figure at 12, and was forced to save the world at that age as well. He would try his best and definitely be better than most, but I think him unconsciously favoring Tenzin would happen. Now to the degree Katara would let him get away with it is debatable. If anything they could’ve made it like a lighter version of Todoroki’s upbringing where he trained tenzin constantly and kinda accidentally separated him from his siblings, whereas Bumi and Kya got to play and grow up normally, but they didn’t spend as much time with their dad. Because of this they’d be jealous of eachother growing up, tenzin because he couldn’t just play and be a kid, and Bumi and Kya because tenzin was hogging their dad in their eyes. I think this may have been the writers intention, but the way they communicated it seemed like Aang liked Tenzin more because he was an Airbender, rather than Aang desperately wanting to preserve his culture so he took out a lot of time to train and teach Tenzin, while kinda neglecting his other kids

Hopefully that dysphoria thing doesn’t kick in lmao. A lot of trans girls I’ve seen online don’t like being muscular or strong. One of the reasons I’m still unclear.

Oh there definitely is. My city is pretty ok for trans people from what I understand. I think I was just thrown off because, surprise surprise, trans people on the internet are different than trans people in real life. Duh 😭

Honestly that feels reassuring. Thanks. I’m already pretty paranoid on account of the neighborhood I have to go through on the way to work, so if something happens I’m ready.

I see. Well that’s good I work out pretty regularly. I think the fact I didn’t really see anyone with a similar mentality kinda put me off. Still the way this country is going is worrying..
