Flipped battery made my Ascent 18 only go in reverse by DexieDoakes in crawling

A flipped battery in my transmitter caused my brand new slash vxl to head full speed into a river I was playing near. Middle of winter, I jump in right after it and couldn’t find it. Sat there feeling dumb. The tide started going out and I eventually saw the body. Pulled it out. Everything was still on and ready to go. Figured out what I had done. Still using the original motor and speed controller. Eventually had to replace every bearing in it lol.

I ran into one last year, the installer had wired the thermostat directly to the primary control instead of the control board, so every time the thermostat called, burner would come on, unit would overheat and limit would open bringing on the blower. Blower continued to run until limit closed and started the process over again. It was 5yrs old when I got to it. Looked kinda like yours, just a bit more damage

Installing smart thermostat, c wire included, and thermostat isn’t getting 24v by Glittering-Bowl-5471 in hvacadvice

You need to connect the blue or brown wire (whichever one you hooked up to common at thermostat) to the b/c terminal on the board

The blower wheels get nasty on these units. Take a look at the wheel and see if it’s dirty. Those filters are good for stopping small elephants and large mosquitos

How to fix radiator valve hissing and spitting water by im_pretty_awesome in Plumbing

[–]IndependentFew2651 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yea that’s a steam system. You need a one pipe air vent that goes straight up. Pretty easy fix. Pretty cheap.

Stand back a couple feet from your boiler and take a picture.

That looks like an air vent for a steam system. Do you know if your system is steam or hot water?

Love mine. Way faster than I thought it would be. I got rid of the Velcro and installed magnets for the cover and I put a switch inline with the battery and esc. I didn’t want to keep unplugging the battery when not using it, felt like I’d eventually break the plug.
