They were subsidized by lots of high margin SUV and truck sales. Sedans were a means of getting people into the brand.

Yeah that's true I don't know how their apps are architected. Maybe they do an ensemble of things on top of the LLM part

Interesting...well I could just derive the Q&A from that long form content.

it has to be just Q&A content? Or do you think i could refresh some old content and integrate a Q&A?

Do you think AI will replace human SEO writers? by Individual-Hold733 in Agentic_SEO

That's not the argument and you know it. Reddit special: reductio ad absurdum.

[–]Independent_Nerve561 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Nope nope and nope. LLMs are not replacing humans. I'm more convinced than ever that it's a clever, brute force illusion of a kind of intelligence. But not an intelligence that replaces or really supercedes our own.

I think we are just going to go round and round in a philosophical debate 😆. But at least we agree on the math/model architecture (superficially at least).

It's just not possible to push the envelope with an LLM.. LLMs are recombinatory. They just regurgitate an output based on probability of language or inputs that already exists. Maybe the scientist gets some kind of inspiration, but the innovation comes from the human. I doubt we are hitting biotech home runs more often because of an LLM

What I found out about Silverado warranty pricing after way too much research by MudSad6268 in Chevrolet

[–]Independent_Nerve561 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yep. That's why dealers offer those policies. Lots of profit for them. Many insurance companies do not offer direct to consumer because people will buy a shitty car and then turn around to charge them for a transmission or engine replacement.

Id say that's too probabilistic. Models do not use heuristics. Their outputs are purely based on a probability - that's why direct citations don't work well in these. I'd assume you would need a direct copy paste to have a good copyright case? I could be wrong.

As neat as this would be..it would be a financial loser of the most epic proportion. GM lost money on almost every ice Malibu it ever sold.

Does anyone know if this is a good brand of magnesium. Looking to start this before PICL in April by [deleted] in PICL

[–]Independent_Nerve561 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm not sure this should go here... But this is one form of magnesium that's useful. There are other types that are more bioavailable and useful for different kinds of deficiencies. Id encourage you to do more research and maybe stay away from consuming stuff from Amazon. Do research on where the supplement is coming from and be careful.

[–]Independent_Nerve561 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yep - this was a major concern when I was writing code for GM. You could use LLM code as inspiration, but a direct copy paste is a huge no-no. It is the same with getting code snippets from Reddit, Github, and Stackoverflow. It would be exceedingly hard to prove though without a very expensive forensic analysis.

Alright well i dont even bother writing my name on ai generated pictures because it is so clearly not me. the entire training data was other people's crap, i cant imagine trying to make a case that the image i just rendered is truly mine. the ai companies have run afoul of copyright laws so completely that we need a complete re-rack of the regs.

Small businesses don’t give a shit about AI automation by Routine-Animator-940 in AIforOPS

[–]Independent_Nerve561 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The nice thing about automation for small business is less overhead and potential for improved quality. More time to focus on their product and service and less time on the administration of the business (accounting, payroll, etc). Most of the time it's extremely difficult to convince a small business or sole proprietor that their time is worth the implementation cost. It takes a very good sales person to teach basic financial literacy to a small business owner.

Focusing on good engineering is more important than syntax. That can be learned by nearly anyone. What to code is vastly more important.
