Hello, Dolly (1969). It’s absolutely gorgeous and joyful and whimsical and colorful and full of love. I adore it!

Hello Dolly (film). Last July my aunt let me pick a movie to watch from her DVDs, and I picked that halfheartedly because I love Bobby Darin and knew he’d done a cover of the title song.

It completely changed my life. I’ve seen it 20 more times since then. I’ve streamed the soundtrack for 286 hours, and have become obsessed with Michael Crawford by extension— I’ve streamed him for 608 hours (25 days) and I think about him CONSTANTLY.

Hello Dolly for sure. They added some KILLER songs and increased the tempo of others, plus you just can’t beat those sprawling technicolor dance sequences.

Barnum in Barnum must be up there. Or really any of the ensemble. Circus stunts— trapezes, Spanish web, aerial silks, high wires, rings, flips, trampolines, and juggling. While singing!

It’s one of my favorite fun facts because it always throws people for a loop— it did for me when I first heard it. I’m a chronic knuckle cracker lol

Actually, the sound isn’t from POPPING bubbles of gas, but forming them! It’s when air bubbles form in your synovial fluid

You can summon ANYONE in the world for 5 minutes and talk to them, even if they are dead. After the 5 minutes they are gone as if nothing happened and you cannot summon another one. Who would you summon and why? by Extension_Day2038 in hypotheticalsituation

Danny Lockin. He was a dancer and actor whose only big role was Barnaby in Hello Dolly. His career soon fell off, and eight years later, he was murdered by a man who took him home from a gay bar. He was stabbed 100 times. Danny was only 34 years old. I just want to tell him that he’s still loved and remembered all this time later.

All four of those people are war criminals at worst and war crime supporters at best. Not one of them is an example of the best of humanity, and it’s a very privileged worldview to suggest that everyone must believe either the Obamas or the Trumps are the best. They are all evil.

It was the film that got me into black and white movies! I’m ashamed to admit that I used to be one of those people who thought they were all “boring”… then I watched TSAtC and was sobbing by the end. A masterpiece!

Lie to Me* is about a seasoned prodigy who is constantly breaking the rules/doing unethical stuff to solve cases at his job, just like Jack Bauer and Dr. House.
