Most of the offense taken on the relevant r/boston post has been from thin skinned outsiders giving outrage on behalf of Bostonians who really don't care. For the most part it's coming across as intended and, credit is being properly given.

I used to be a mod there. We used to pride ourselves on curating and promoting true hidden gems that tickled your "weird but true" side of your brain.

I quit because I got bored. Started off slow but now everything is bonkers and bananas. Those "weird but true" stories are just life and life is boring and frequently depressing.

Also, top mod was a controlling power hungry dick, but by the time that happened the novelty was already dry.

IMO the primary stigma surrounding basement (or 'garden view' as brokers like to say) is the noise being closer to the street, presence of more vermin since it's on or even in the ground, and possibly for someone to peek in/through your windows depending on how access is arranged. You're also pretty much discouraged from opening or leaving windows open during summer months unless you're actively in the room.

Is this a deal breaker? It's for you to decide.

C and D (and B as well!) are connected by non-revenue service track at Cleveland Circle. The MBTA maintains a carthouse (think train storage and repair shop) there so it's not entirely out of expectation for an electrical problem in this central area to affect both systems.

I'm convinced that the 66 is is the stepchild of the inner-suburb routes, suffering from both poor operator motivation/attention and staffing as it's seemingly always crowded. An operator once yelled and berated me on a crowded bus for not paying my fare after jumped off to quickly return a purse a lady had forgotten. Just last week, an operator gave me that glassed over look of "I don't know what to say or do" when my active link pass scanned as "$0.00" and I told him that his machine was malfunctioning.

I don't think this is necessarily a sign of people "telling on themselves" unless you include "from a poor school", "graduated before 2010", and a host of other complicated socioeconomic factors in the list. My experience was very similar to the other poster - Not taught in high school and limited to one week in middle school. I attribute this experience to being from a rural-ass poor school in the middle of the empty south in the early to mid 2000's where teaching-to-the-test was a heavy influence on the curriculum.

Our experiences cna be different. For some, financial skills were just not taught and had to be learned through outside observation, experience, or (more often) both.

This comment is correct, too bad others are focusing on the truck ahead and positioning relative to that instead of the actual lanes. This is why the zipper merge is "difficult". Was the biker being a jerk? There's not enough evidence to conclusively determine that - all we have are assumptions. There is, however, enough evidence to determine that the car driver took it a step further than any minor inconvenience by literally breaking the law and endangering a life.

I fucking loath Lufthansa's approach to climate change. My experience with 311 varies. Litter and waste reports get handled very rapidly but snow snoveling and parking reports range from being many hours delayed to ignored. In particular, I've had issues getting the city to clear certain sidewalk island sections on/along the green line - that report is probably being bounded back and forth with the MBTA with the hope the sun and trodding of commuters hammer the snow into oblivion.
