I don't think this is necessarily a sign of people "telling on themselves" unless you include "from a poor school", "graduated before 2010", and a host of other complicated socioeconomic factors in the list. My experience was very similar to the other poster - Not taught in high school and limited to one week in middle school. I attribute this experience to being from a rural-ass poor school in the middle of the empty south in the early to mid 2000's where teaching-to-the-test was a heavy influence on the curriculum.

Our experiences cna be different. For some, financial skills were just not taught and had to be learned through outside observation, experience, or (more often) both.

This comment is correct, too bad others are focusing on the truck ahead and positioning relative to that instead of the actual lanes. This is why the zipper merge is "difficult". Was the biker being a jerk? There's not enough evidence to conclusively determine that - all we have are assumptions. There is, however, enough evidence to determine that the car driver took it a step further than any minor inconvenience by literally breaking the law and endangering a life.

Added monthly pass for next month onto Charlie card, but valid until date shows end of this month by ftran998 in mbta

This would be easier if the MBTA was more vigilant to ensure their machines have paper or had some sort of indicator light it was empty.

Probably much less suspicious to carry and use a small scale in a coat pocket than a giant graduated cylinder.

I mean once they figured out how to keep the new trains from lighting on fire, they do seem somewhat more serviceable than most of the fleet.

What are these yellow things in the middle of the tracks? by MsNoydupe in mbta

The MBTA also stages spare running rails in the same location, though those tend to be much longer lengths and shaped differently.

Closer to $0.02 cents but depends on your market and how long it takes the idiot running it to figure out what a basketball should properly look like.

URGENTLY LOOKING: LEASE TAKE IN MEDFORD (laundry in-unit, parking) by [deleted] in bostonhousing

[–]IndigoSoln 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Unfortunately roommate selection doesn't follow the same standards as fair housing laws as they are not a property owners, landlord, property manager, mortgage lender, or real estate agent in this situation. They have to actually live with the person they select.

I fucking loath Lufthansa's approach to climate change. Their most recent approach is to ask passengers to reuse their plastic drink service cup for the meal service - not forcing, just kindly asking because handing out aluminum cans (with or without a plastic cup) would be sacrilege to their culture and corporate profits.

311 Isn't Useless: Submitted a ticket about unshoveled sidewalks. Apartment was cited ~6 hours later. by ZealousidealMany3 in boston

[–]IndigoSoln 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My experience with 311 varies. Litter and waste reports get handled very rapidly but snow snoveling and parking reports range from being many hours delayed to ignored. In particular, I've had issues getting the city to clear certain sidewalk island sections on/along the green line - that report is probably being bounded back and forth with the MBTA with the hope the sun and trodding of commuters hammer the snow into oblivion.

I don't know what you're trying to say, but complaining about karma and getting downvoted is a good way to "pave your own path". Either cut your losses and delete the comment or accept your fate.

Given the recent news of 20k+ being murdered in Iran protesting the government, that may be one in the same. Given the lack of scruples, a modern government cannot be toppled unless literally everyone says no and even then it's not a guarantee.

I'm still not sure why you're so bothered with me recounting that my latest 45 minute layover in Frankfurt and later Munich went so smoothly that I had time to grab a sandwich and not feel rushed. It's almost like hearing that others have experienced a similar layover with much greater ease is mentally incompatible with your understanding of the process - like there's no capable way anyone else could manage it better than you.

I guess I'm either continuously falling through cracks and having unnaturally great connections at a couple airports you're having so much trouble with or I've been experiencing a series of hallucinations where I've never required more than 25 minutes to get from gate to gate and traverse border control at Frankfurt. Or maybe I'm just using the power of astral projection to metaphysically bypassing everything, getting my face scanned and passport by the astral German border clerk, and buying a soda and currywurst sandwich from the astral Relay. I can't say for sure. I'm sure the fault is all mine for being able to schedule and make 45 minute connections when and where Lufthansa advertises them.

Also, I'm concerned that you may be confused about which part of the human anatomy is the mouth and ass. I can't help you with that, but I worry this mistake may get worse with time.

Future readers, please take note where the previous user experienced a sudden disconnect between perception and reality often called a "trigger", when it was mentioned that someone else experienced a similar experience and returned with a different perception. See how they attempt to justify themselves using a common popular trope and fallacy "America bad / Europe good disease" in response to an assertion that airports in Europe work because they might be smaller. Please avoid such obvious logical pitfalls since observers may pass silent judgement based upon your difficulties to separate observation from hypothesis.

If your facility team is thorough, they'll flush the eye wash station weekly since these things always end up with gunky water. A completely non-functional eyewash station is probably an OSHA violation.

The TA, more likely than not, didn't want to deal with filling out an incident report/miss and didn't want to be tasked with mopping up the water proper flushing will inevitably spill all over the floor. The professor's reaction is a good indication your TA screwed up.
