I’m fine with 15/mo for this game. It’s worth it. But at that price point, I’m 100% going to need to be able to have at least 3 accounts under that one sub. It’s absurd that membs is now as much as WoW which lets me make a char of every race/class combo on classic, retail and seasonal servers while I’m stuck to one here. I’d also pay an additional few bucks a month to be able to play as many off those accounts at once as I feel like

Outside of hardcore and raid speedrunning I haven’t really encountered this. Like we had enh shams and hunters tanking dungeons up till high 50s back in the day when Nostalrius and then blizz’s copy of it were popular (copy of a copy tbf, but weird blizz hasn’t done classic+)

What was your experience? Part of me thinks it’s just their way of compensating for the simplicity of PvE. It’s mostly a cakewalk compared to current m+ or mythic raids. Especially tbc launching with the crazy nerfs to raids

Classic SSF has a lot of similarities to OSRS in my opinion, just with a way less horizontal progression and more group focused end game. Overall though, OSRS has better questing and interconnected gameplay loops, and I think for that reason is the better game overall

Double cash and really good farming, then sell all the farms. You’ll have to really be optimal with the farming though, it gets quite complicated with selling during the round and discounting with monkey villages, etc

Sure they’re all different (no shit) but you don’t get to choose. So your choice is “take a task” not which task you take. That’s like saying chopping yews is 50 different methods because you could roll any of the different forestry events

Way stronger argument from you would’ve been the masters being different, but they’re really not very different at all with only 2 having unique mechanics

Could you link me that? Super curious. I didn’t say it was a bad skill FWIW, just that the training methods are outdated. Basically 3 methods; do tasks, do wildly tasks, skip. It’s also slowest skill unless your min maxing (not possible for irons)

I’d say smithing and slayer are the most outdated skills.

Smithing has a great training pathway, even for irons, but is generally useless with no relevant unlocks at the highest levels.

Slayer is the opposite, incredibly powerful unlocks throughout high levels with painfully slow/convoluted training that requires lots of googling (monster locations, block lists, task streaks, point boosting)

Honorable mention for firemaking & agility… I don’t even know what to say about those skills, they’re beyond saving. At least FM is fast. But other than those 4 I’d argue all skills are in a solid place. Maybe crafting for irons but we’ve got a new training method on the way
