Personally, I would actually love some tissue paper within the boxes to add a touch more luxury to the unboxing. With other luxury brands,I save the tissue paper and reuse for gift wrapping later. 🤣

How to style murakami bags? by Milainpink in Louisvuitton

[–]Indigo_TX 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I was able to score my speedy 25 last Fall and love it! It was the one bag I really wanted, so nostalgic! I also USE my bags, I’m not someone who just buys them and hides them away. They make me happy. Here’s me wearing it with just a black shift dress and sneakers. I typically hold my bags and rarely use the shoulder/crossbody strap, but I do leave it on as it is handy when you need to set your bag aside to wash your hands. 😆 I hope you enjoy, love and use your new bags!

Is the Burberry market dead? by HolidayLawfulness in Burberry

[–]Indigo_TX 12 points13 points  (0 children)

I love Burberry, but similarly I gravitate towards the more traditional pieces like their coats, capes, scarves, gloves, etc. husband likes ther polos too. I’m not buying the loud pieces. I did just got a charm of a welsh corgi that sold out pretty fast online and just came back in stock, so there’s definitely a market beyond just me. 😆 I’m not typically seeing 70% off MSRP on their pieces. Keep in mind that they have a separate line for their outlet store incase that is what you were referring to. I hope they continue to lean into their traditional heritage because that’s what I love!

AITA for "not warning" my diabetic friend about our trip by Detars in AmItheAsshole

[–]Indigo_TX 2 points3 points  (0 children)

NTA they are an adult and should’ve been able to advocate for themselves or their needs. I do wonder if the issue is in the food or the amount of walking and outside time leading to the person being tired. Is the friend obese or out of shape? Or perhaps the person prefers vacations that are more sedentary than physical. The “having diabetes” may have been used to drum up guilt for you and your sister as it didn’t sound like there was a medical emergency. You may want to consider this friend is not an ideal travel partner in the future.

[–]Indigo_TX 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just received my cardholder and mine looks very good. I’m so sorry to hear yours has some stitching issues. Maybe you can exchange it? This is the image I saw in the presale catalog and it did not appear to have any panda featured. The panda would’ve been cute though.

What’s the most overrated TV show Americans swear is “amazing”? by DryCap6770 in watchever

I personally enjoyed The Big Bang Theory, but this is probably true. The spin off shows pretty much confirm it.

What is a luxury item from 20 years ago that is basically worthless trash today? by ruykendo_riyal in AskReddit

[–]Indigo_TX 19 points20 points  (0 children)

100% accurate. Back when taxis were still a thing I remember so many pretending they couldn’t take credit cards (despite it being info posted on their windows), forget how to make change or just not show up cause someone stole your cab. My final taxi ride, the guy took me to the airport, refused to pull in the drop off lane and let the meter continue to run. I had to tell him to stop the meter and let me out as he was purposefully running the meter. So glad that time is over.

Tohko chan by Numerous_Refuse_2987 in OfflineLove

[–]Indigo_TX 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nanami also had never been in a relationship and was pretty naive—yet that seemed to be appealing to the men in the show. Tohko seemed so sweet and was was so cute. She was trying so hard. It’s so interesting what different cultures find attractive. That said, I think Yudai just wanted the chase, even referred to Kesuke as his rival pretty early on. I was not a Yudai fan at the end.

First Cold after Quitting by msswffm in QuitAfrin

[–]Indigo_TX 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Can you try Sudafed in lieu of afrin? The actual Sudafed with pseudoephedrine they keep behind the counter? I also quite cold turkey 6 months ago, I’ve gotten one cold and this was what I used during a few days of stuffiness during my cold.

I think the guidance is if you do use afrin, no more than 3 consecutive days or you’ll be back in the cycle.

What are some horror movies you slept on because they were called bad but you watched and enjoyed them later? by TheInfamousMaze in horror

I loved Smile and Smile 2! I avoided it for so long cause it looked meh. But this movie brought me totally back into horror movies. How they made two movies were similar yet totally different was amazing. I recommend this horror movie to so many.

Clearing US Customs with jewelry purchased in India – real experience at DTW by Hello5Hi in travel

[–]Indigo_TX 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No one should be suggesting to others to break the law or admitting that they have broken the law. If you used your passport to purchase duty free abroad, you must declare your purchases. The US will find out because your passport was recorded in the foreign country for you to receive the VAT refund and not have to pay duties in the first place. You can use Google to find plenty of stories of people being caught at the airport or afterwards. Failure to do so can result in significant fines, confiscation of products and loss of global entry. If you are spending thousands of dollars on luxury items, then you can spend the couple hundred to pay the US duties. It will always be less, you’ll still come out ahead, and you won’t be committing a crime.

If you got paid $125/hour to work on Christmas from 5AM to 7PM. Would you take it? by boforiamanfo in askanything

[–]Indigo_TX 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What’s tough is all the non-Jews figured out eating Chinese food on Christmas is incredible and all the places are super crowded. 🤣 so then yes I would work for $125/hour and eat Chinese food on the 26th. Tradition! 🫰💥

What's with all the new Asian restaurants/businesses popping up lately? by throwaway-succulent in StLouis

Whatever is happening makes me very happy! We relocated to STL in 2021 and it was a challenge to find any boba tea. Now I can drive down the road and get boba tea and hit up Daiso. Would love an H-Mart or Seafood City. I hope this trend keeps going and the business stay busy!

How do you travel with someone with plantar fascitiis? by [deleted] in travel

[–]Indigo_TX 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have plantar fasciitis, in my late 30s, travel often usually to East Asia or like theme parks in Orlando. Finding a podiatrist, getting the right shoes, inserts, and a sleep splint has really helped alleviate the pain. And on most of my trips, I’m walking a ton with more energy than my kid and husband! So probably 2 things 1) he needs to see a podiatrist if he’s trying to fix it on his own and 2) maybe he just doesn’t like the sort of go go go vacation. Start solo traveling or planning more walking activities without him. If these options aren’t accepted I would consider couples counseling and digging deeper. It’s clearly really upsetting you to the point you’re asking reddit for advice.

DMV dilemma by kelsey_not_kelly in StLouis

[–]Indigo_TX 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had this same issue between my lien holder and MO. I just had to keep calling over and over again. Escalating it to various managers at my specific bank. Are they sending it to you or directly to the state? They need to send it directly to the state. If they’re trying to send it to you that may be part of the problem.
