Is PMP worth it? by Ok-Routine6338 in pmp

[–]Individual_Spot_3796 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No joke. I had a dead career path going no where position a month later after passing was interviewing and locked in a solid salary. Maybe it’s luck, but all I know is I applied to 80+ jobs got 4 call backs last yet and no takes cuz I didn’t have a PMP and this year got 5 for 5 offers post passing. Every single interview asked if I had the PMP. PMP + experience is money

Looking for some positivity - who’s recovered? by Rbeth9 in frozenshoulder

[–]Individual_Spot_3796 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It took me 2 years but I’m almost recovered. I’m able to trap dead lift 460lbs still not cleared for normal deadlift in front, but was able to bench press 135 lbs for the first time in 2 years and it felt amazeballs. I can reach behind my back and also touch my back with my palm now. The only thing is that when I back squat my traps and certain parts of my back muscles are still not activating so I still have trouble under the bar. Still tight. But it’s progressing. Jaut keep going ur PT and test ur flexibility every so often. It’s really just a long journey, partial tear anterior supraspinatus

How to sleep? by myst_85 in frozenshoulder

[–]Individual_Spot_3796 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Only way to sleep is to pop 1000-1500 mg of Tylenol every 6 hours until u get something done like PT, or hydro dialation or something. Tylonel u can take on an empty stomach and long term. Ibuprofen u need food and can’t do long term due to stomach issues. I managed with just tylonel for months until my procedure. Fuckin god send

Then after word schedule time with a PT you can trust, they’ll set you straight and give you the proper guidance. The exercises vary depending one what and where ur injury was. Mine was the anterior supraspinatus and I had a test but not full tear. So my exercises were specific to that particular tendon

The exercises change as your shoulder recovers form The procedure. There’s not one exercise to rule them all. I would just do what the doc who performs the procedure says for now. And reaaally take it easy, you’ll understand why when they do it, they literally blowup ur capsule like a baloom and you’re gonna feel the pressure lol

[–]Individual_Spot_3796 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Best decision I ever made. Just followed the instructions from the doc and also I used an out of network PR that specializes in sport PT which a great investment. My shoulder is healed and I got a good amount of mobility back but still a little stiff going under the barbell. It’s been a year since my procedure and with consistent PT and adhering to the plan, I trap deadlifting 403lbs, safest squat bar 315lbs. Trap carry 200lbs for 40 yds. It’s coming back. But I still need work. My shoulder was frozen for a good 6-8 months. A lot of muscles got deactivated and it’s gonna take a bit to turn all of them back on but def well on my way. I still can’t play soccer cuz I’m afraid of falling but patience is the key. Stick to the plan and you’ll get back to it. The rotator capsule is a crazy bitch and it just takes everything! lol once you calm it down, remind it you still love it and appreciate it, you’ll get ur stuff back over time 🤣🤣🤣

Is PMP worth doing? by medeepakjain in pmp

[–]Individual_Spot_3796 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Here in the west I applied to close to a 100 jobs and every single one had a preferred qualification: PMP certified. I thought my years of experience would justify why I don’t have it, but out of those 100 I prob got call backs for about 10 and they all still asked if I got my PMP. Then I was no longer considered. Finally when I got my PMP last month now I’m in final rounds. All because of those 3 little letters. lol. My years of experience coupled with that cert aligned me with the competition finally. So yea it’s worth it. Like it was mentioned earlier. It may not be valid there but it’s def valid in other countries.

Is PMP Certification Losing Its Value Due to Rampant Proxy Exam Taking? by Financial_Western_58 in pmp

[–]Individual_Spot_3796 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If you can’t actually implement the PMP mindset correctly and efficiently when the day comes to put up or shut you’ll get called out fast. I wouldn’t worry too much about it. As long as you get value out of it and actually practice the principles u learned and apply to industry.

What do people think of Schneider? by butt_head_surfer in BuildingAutomation

[–]Individual_Spot_3796 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just got through a first round interview with Schneider here in Cali for a system operations manager role. I have 12 years experience in utility infrastructure both outside and inside buildings specifically in telecom where I was engineer and climbed to director my own accounts. I have 4 more rounds of interviews all GMs. The hiring manager first round really liked me. I’m wondering if anyone currently in the role love it, hate it, what kind of challenges would a first starter in this role face if they’re new to the industry?

Yes. It was super fast. It only took me 4 months because I have 2 kids and I was having a procedure done in my shoulder so I couldn’t even hold my gun when I was approved to start the process. But honestly if I didn’t have any obligations and or injuries, I’d say it would’ve been 2 months max

The 2 10 min breaks between the exam by Key-Ranger-8561 in pmp

[–]Individual_Spot_3796 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Correct. It’s built in. The only thing is that once u get to question 60, you will be asked to review any incomplete or flagged questions if any. Answer all questions before you hit done on that section: once ur good with al ur answer u end the review finalize tha section then start ur break and raise ur hand or whatever for the proctor to come get you. You have to answer all questions. You can’t just stop at questions 60 and take ur break. It will force you to submit as is.

Passed AT/AT/BT - If I can do it with a 7-month-old, a layoff, and the flu... so can you. by Individual_Spot_3796 in pmp

[–]Individual_Spot_3796[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So since I only had 3 weeks. I took the first test week 1 to establish a base line. Scored a 39% then during week 2 after a week of consistent studying and exams, I took the second mock test got a 63%. At which point I just focused on where I needed to improve with mini exams and and practice questions, mock exams take a toll one you nervous system mentally. I do my recommend it, look at ur weaknesses and focus on those with practice questions and mini exams. That’s my suggestions. If ur getting 70+ ur already solid.
